This is a mystery. I'd assume because he has position flexibility and won't be lost when they send him back down.

No. But if they bring Tabata back up they will lose him when they eventually send him down. Also someone from the Trib or PG wrote an article saying the Pirates sent him down because he has been a TERRIBLE influence on Marte and they want him nowhere near Polanco.

There are but most won't make it through waivers when they have to be sent back down and/or can't man as many positions as Martinez

why wont hurdle let a reliever pitch more then an inning when he looks very sharp and only throws a few pitches?

Sometimes it's because his spot in the order comes up, many times it's because Clint Hurdle has put himself in this weird little box where relievers can only be used in very narrow situations.

Great questions Bam. I was wondering the same thing on a lot of those questions. Sham, great answers. I wasn't aware of how bad an influence Tabata has been on these young guys. And great point about losing guys through waivers when they eventually get sent back down.

Sanchez is a lot better hitter than Stuart, who is no threat at all at the plate..Morel and Martinez like really. I think that alone makes it a dumb decision not to have him on the big club. Stuart hasn't shown shit defensively either

agree 100 percent...when sanchez bats I feel its entirely possible something good may happen.. when I see stuart bat I moan and wince.. I think martins defense makes us harder on sanchez defense..its better then shitty stuart in my view..

Really guys, Stewart hasn't be that bad. He sucked today, but overall he's been decent enough. I don't know what you expect out of a backup catcher. He's a backup for a reason.
I don't think Sanchez is the answer at catcher. Not now, not in the future. The kind of issues he has are rarely fixable. Wonder if he can play first base?

I think Tabata is done as a Bucco. Bad player, bad attitude, now apparently a bad influence.

Slopfest doesn't do todays game justice. Can't lay this one at Hurdles feet.

personally ive seen enough of Martinez..send him anywhere.. who cares if he is ever claimed.. I feel sorry for that team.. he shouldn't be in aaa ball.. single a more his speed.. sanchez should replace stuart; now and forever to enternity.. morel should be ditched too with Martinez... those 2 scrubs should be simple to replace with a dollar or 2.. what to do with pedro is huge question..

Jobu, I'll have to respectfully disagree with you regarding Stuart. He hasn't shown me squat. I mean he isn't Hotrod BarajASS bad, but to me bad enough. I guess in the big picture though he isn't all that much of a detriment.
