Saw him play against the Bucs at Forbes Field as a kid….first ever game I attended.
Definitely one of the all time greats.

RIP, Say Hey Kid. Saw him play several times at Forbes and at TRS when he was an aging star with the Mets. Legendary player, could do it all and do it all with style, grace and professionalism. Much like a right fielder who played for us around the same period.

Saw him at Forbes as well…the mays, mccovey, marichal giants. Saw mccovey put a couple over the roof. Fondly remember bucs sweeping the giants in a Sunday doubleheader in 66 or 67…splurged for a $1.50 rf grandstand ticket
