NL central is even tighter now. 3.5 games separate the pack of mediocre!

its damn shame this team is owned by a cheap ass jackass. it seems like a fine group of likable characters who all seem to like one another and play hard and enjoy the game. like the team hate the owner. hard to keep the asshole outta mind tho.

Back four years ago which was the last season they made the playoffs, their 2nd half pitching staff was as follows:
Starters:
Gerrit Cole
Frankie Liriano
Mr. Nibbles
A.J. Burnett
Charlie Morton
J.A. Happ
- Nibbles and Ground Chuck were the worst of the lot, the only starters with ERA's over 4.00
Relievers (Shark Tank):
Mark Melancon
Tony Watson
Jared Hughes
Antonio Bastardo
Joe Blanton
Joakim Soria
Now we have....
Starters:
Joe Musgrove
Chris Archer
Jordan Lyles
Trevor Williams
Steven Brault
Jameson Taillon (60-day DL)
- Not one starter with an ERA under 4.00
Relievers:
Felipe Vazquez
Frankie Liriano
Richard Rodriguez
Kyle Crick
Michael Feliz
Clay Holmes
- While Vazquez has been very good (other than last night), the others are meh.
They still think Searage is this great pitching messiah who can cajole great pitching out of reclamation projects. He used to be able to turn chicken shit into chicken salad. That only works for so long.

They also think Hurdle is a great manager...
Who was the guy that they let go to Tampa a few years ago? Benedict?
He was the real pitching guru.
