Probable starters:
CHC: Yu Darvish (2-4 4.98 ERA)
PIT: Chris Archer (3-6 5.50 ERA)

seems last year the Bucs were hot right before the all star game too! then sub par afterwards.

Every year --- at least it has seemed in recent seasons. Particularly remember Cutch hitting a fantastic walk-off, extra-innings HR to crush the Cards with a series sweep a few years back (2015?), leading into the ASG break --- then they came back flat and the Buccos never fully regained that swagger the rest of the season ... :cry:

But for now, I'll try to enjoy the ride. And where's Mean Joe?? The Lumber Company is back in business, baby!

yes; every year the swoons killem. they on fire before break and the off time ruins it ; I hope bell is not ruined in homer derby but I expect the worse with him and team. hard team to believe and have faith in. but they are currently stroking the ball !

I’ve been worried about the home run derby too. I think it ruined Cutch’s swing.

Entertaining baseball, and training camp only 20 days away. Buccos fulfilling their Pittsburgh sports function at this point.

Fun game to watch yesterday.
