In the meantime, any win is a good win, and a walk off win over the f'ing Cubs for their 4th-straight "heartbreaking loss" --- as the Chitown announcers called it through their tears --- was fandamntastic.

Absolutely Franco. This teams going nowhere, obviously. But beating the arrogant Cubs and that douchebag manager of theirs, and sending all those fat, ugly Cubs fans that invade PNC when there club is in town, home crying is simply great! I laugh at their sorrow...

LOL- Neil Huntington yesterday trying to convince everyone that we'll be just fine with a combination of Brault, Kuhl, Williams, Musgrove, Archer, and Keller next season. Musgrove and Archer, for example, simply need "a full offseason" and they'll be fine.

And if we do need to look outside, he's looking for the next Nova or Happ or Edinson Volquez.

Is there anyone on whom this line of bullshit still works?

At least equal to the number of paid attendees at PNC?

its so laughable. yet so pathetic. the recent winning seasons were just a fluke. they just got lucky with law of averages on their side. they back to solid sucking and bullshit floundering. the only hope is sale of team to a normal owner or mlb steps in somehow. or the law of averages acts kindly on this bunch of cheap and lying snakes.

Then I read he tried to excuse away this horrible July-August by quoting Fangraphs, who had stated that a team projected to finish ~.500 as the Pirates were only had a 0.08% chance of having such a bad stretch?

Um Neal...you do realize that when you put together a team whose talent is only good enough for ~.500, that means there is only the SAME very small chance that the team will actually compete for a World Series...right?

You can't explain away a bad stretch via odds while telling fans they have to hope for an equally improbably good stretch so as to make the playoffs.

Pathetic.

Owners, front office, Hurdle, rest of coaches, players, all fn around on the fans dime mailing it in. Somebody should just do something about this already. It’s not just embarrassing but criminal.

Yes. His name is Bob Nutless.

By the way. It wouldn’t matter if Brian Cashman and Tony Fucking LaRussa were running this thing . They aren’t ever winning a WS with this owner as he operates today in this league.

Why do I still have Musgrove in fantasy?

Is it possible for him not to suck so badly?

Not only is this team in the midst of a record setting slump...most nights they aren’t even competitive. They should fire the entire fucking team!

Francisco Cervelli given his unconditional release. I'll bet he's thrilled.

How sad is it that we're cheering for batting titles and not a playoff spot.
