Sad to hear of his passing. I grew up with his Pirates. Man, he could throw smoke. Rip

Definitely one of the better pitchers I've ever seen pitch for the Bucs. They didn't have a pitch clock when he was throwing the hardest in the mid-60s but I'll be damned if he wasn't topping triple digits at times. The Gunner said he threw a "radio ball", you could hear it, but you couldn't see it. He was a member of our 1971 Bucs WS team, though by that time he was no longer a regular starter. RIP, and God Bless his family and loved ones.
