We were fucking lied to
Re: We were fucking lied to
Saw an interview of Neal...I guess he has to talk the talk, but talking about relying on guys like Pedro Florimon, Alan Hanson, and/or Cole Figueroa just makes me cringe.
Although the good news out of that interview was they felt comfortable dealing Walker because Kang is making fantastic progress, and they expect him back in April as opposed to May.

He did confirm what we knew- Charlie Morton was a salary dump. OK- well make that money count, Neal!

Charlie Morton is average on a good day, so this move is a good one.
Still not expecting the Pirates to make any meaningful additions that will allow them to contend in 2016.

Yeah, but somewhere in the darkness, Steel is quietly sobbing...

I don't know why, but I have this strange feeling that we haven't seen the last of Charlie Bucket in a Pirates uniform.

I can't wait until he gets a load of Phillies' fans...especially after he teases them by looking good in the early part of the season...

Maybe they're banking on Taillon or Glastnow (sp?) To crack the starting rotation?

Glastnow was moved to the roster at the end of the year. Taillon will spend 1/2 the season in Indy as he recovers from TJ surgery.

Walker was interviewed by Biertempfel on the way out of town...was "frustrated" by negotiations with the Pirates on a long-term deal.

Five Thirty Eight projects Cubs to win 99 but still only have a 15% of WS victory.
We re-signed Serpico.
The cost was $2.5 M and the replacement costs for the team water coolers.
