Pirates-related only because of Neverett...I always liked the guy...listened to a few broadcasts with him and Joe Castiglione and thought they were fantastic together.
Just found the whole sidebar story that WEEI was switching from a play-by-play to “talk show format” was fascinating. WEEI is denying it now after there was a HUGE backlash...but this story has all the earmarks of being true and only scuttled after the idea went over like a lead balloon.
