Swiss meets Bungles Fan in Maine

Swiss met a Bungles fan who is the proprietor of a confectionery shop named "Yummies - Candy and Nuts" in Kittery, Maine. He asked me to post these and will fill you in on the story...

Figures....I ask '58 to post these pics (yes, I'm a techno-dummy & still don't know how to post my own pics), and then work gets in the way and I can't find time to fill in the blanks.

Yeah....forgot to ask what F Bugh is, can only assume that Bugh = Pittsburgh.

Anyway, been in this store three times over the past year (not my idea) and this vehicle is always outside, so being of reasonable intelligence, I deducd that it belong to the proprietor of Yummie's. So, yesterday, I say to the girl at the counter, "I was admiring your Bengals vehicle; I'm a Steeler fan," to which she replies, "Yeah, most people that come in to tease him are."

So...we're checking out, and the dude's at the counter, wearing a Bungals sweatshirt, and I say, "You sell to Steeler fans?", to which he replies, "As long as you're not a Patriots fan." So he and I had some commonality which we discussed, and he stated, and I acknowledged, that his hatred of the Patriots must run very deep if he's less troubled by the presence of a Steeler fan than a Patriots fan."

He allowed as to how he leads a miserable existence as a Bungals fan. We talk about the playoff game just past, I say that he must have felt as though they had that game, he says, "Honestly, I can't say that I knew the game would end like that, but even before that last drive, I knew we were going to lose that game." Lest there be any doubts that we are in their heads, there you have it.

This guy said he went to see the Bungals play 11 times before he saw them win a game. He named his firstborn after Corey Dillon. He wanted to name his now 4-year-old Dalton, after the Ginger Fuck Andy Dalton, but his wife wouldn't have it. Get this though....the kid's middle name is Bengal. Very nice guy.....though misguided. I'll ask him about the Pac Man window sticker.

I'm not up on Ebonics/slang etc but I can look at that f bugh and assume it means:Fuck Pittsburgh. I admit I could be wrong.

Can only imagine their house and him making the pitch to call their next child Dalton. LMAO. She probably went ballistic. :lol:

Glad you mentioned that, Beth. Who knows if the dude is telling the truth, but this is what he told me. Said his oldest son is a Steeler fan...AND....became a Steeler fan when Kimo took our Palmer. Said the kid was laughing at him when that happened. Kid must hate his dad...probably wouldn't let him eat the candy!!

Interesting. I expected the conversation to go much differently. I suspect the guy is one of those people that talk a big game but when face to face with someone he's done the shit talking on (steelers fan) he's just an awww shucks, nice guy. Who puts a picture like that on their car?

One last thing. Be careful. A grown man than owns a shop like that, with a name like that, is either a pedophile or a serial killer. Possibly both.

Ha! Too funny. I used to live in Kittery Maine (now in Berwick), not too far from this store. I shook my head every time I saw that Jeep and thought, "Poor, poor, misguided bastard, must really suck to be a Bungles fan". Then I laughed and laughed. If I was a Bungles fan living in Maine (or anywhere), I think I'd keep that shit to myself and not advertise to the world what I dumb ass I am.

i believe he was holding his red rocket in his hand while snapping the photo. He tried to deny it was him, but it was reported he was wearing a special watch (on his wrist) he had won for something.
