Awesome watch. Definitely gave me the tinglies reliving some of those playoff games.
Oh, and Hornqvist is freaking JACKED.
No wonder he can handle all that abuse.

Looking back across the timeline of the DVD gives you a look at really how close so many of the games were. One thing I didn't like about the DVD was they took action from one particular game in a series and patched it into another games highlights.
The Tampa series might have been the most harrowing series since the 7 game epic to win the Cup back in 2009.

I ordered the dvd the night the Pens won, and to be honest it's a lazy effort IMO compared to the one in 09. To me it feels like footage that would've ended up on In the Room if the Pens hadn't won. The special features are pretty chincy, especially the "extended" celebration segments......which were actually very abbreviated. Glad I recorded it all that night because much of it was left out here.
I think they could've put something together that fleshed out the narrative arc of the entire season a bit more. It was a very memorable and unique hockey season in penguins history for all the peaks and valleys and the dvd touched on it very little.
But either way, my son loves these dvd's. They get him pumped to go to hockey practice.
