The thing is, AB will ALWAYS BE A STEELER. How many clutch grabs did the guy have? How many years of jaw-dropping performance did the guy have with the Steelers? The Immaculate Extension... I mean, no matter how horrendously down the drain he swirls... no matter how pathetically self-absorbed he becomes, for many years he was the shining ace of our team. Yeah, he was a little weird, but we all have a few friends like that. I didn't quite see this happening...

Personally as a fan, I have to talk this AB thing out, or I might go crazy, too. Like it's actually psychologically difficult to match the present with the past. So, I'm glad you guys are here so I can wrestle with my feelings about this. Yeah, it's dumb to still think about AB, but I'm not sure if it's healthy that we all just hold it inside.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, free agent WR Antonio Brown is not expected to play again this season.

Had the Pats known he had those sexual assault allegations hanging over his head (and could they know he would stupidly text his accusers), the Pats never would have signed AB in the first place and he would not have ever set foot in the locker room.

Or, maybe they would have signed him had he given full disclosure. But he didn't and that got the team broadsided by the news. Either way, the way AB decided to handle those allegations certainly screwed him.

So, I would differ slightly from your account only in saying that AB's handling of the allegations and not just the fact of having them did AB no favors.
