Ravens will own the AFCN for the next decade

Lamar Jackson will win MVP this year, and I'll be rooting for the Ravens as they knock off the Pats in Fox Boro.

The Steelers will suck, but at least the Patriots won't be winning any more Super Bowls

Lets see what they do against the 69ers.

They did lose to the Chiefs and Browns.

And we could have beaten them with a Real Doll at QB instead of MR.

I know everyone wants to filate Harbaugh on this board, but he makes gaffes too.

one little injury to Lamar and a hitch in his giddy-up, and it will be night and day.

Not necessarily. I think it will be competitive every year.
Secure NHALS early and then go deep into the PLAYOFFS. :D :D :D

I actually think our D will hold it's own against the Ravens as it is much improved. The question lies on offence of course. I think we are only a couple players away, maybe we're fine with the two acquisition we just made in Whyte and Cain. I think the bigger deficiency is on the OL and our OC. We need a new OC as it has become quite clear, at least to me, that Fitchner is not up to the task and will only hold this offence back, even when Ben returns!

Ravens have 5 games remaining.

They play 3 of the top 5 defenses in the NFL. Next they play a team that's been every bit as dominant offensively and who has a much, much better defense. They also play the team that kicked the snot out of them IN BALTIMORE earlier this year. One of those top 3 defenses shut them down earlier in the year, and almost one won a 3rd string QB driving them to the lead in OT.

Cycles of the NFL.
NE unstoppable juggernaut.
PHI unstoppable juggernaut.
LAR unstoppable juggernaut.
KC unstoppable juggernaut.
BAL unstoppable juggernaut.

Things change quickly.

In the words of Jerry Granville, the NFL stands for Not For Long. There have been a lot of great 1 year teams/players in the history of the league, your so called flavor of the month. Remember just last year Sean McVay was going to revolutionize coaching, yea how did that work out. Jarred Goff got 110 million guaranteed, whoops. RGIII and Kapernick were gonna change the game, yep how did that work out. Point being, I’d cool the jets on Lamar and Baltimore until further notice, yes they will make some noise this yr, but I’m not too concerned about this year cause the PS aren’t winning it all this year.

NFL teams can't succeed long term with these hs/college offenses. The Gayvens will be back to sucking cocks on Sundays soon enough.
I fully expect the 49ers to kick the snot out of the Ravens. No coaching advantage for Harbaugh, and SF has more talent on the field. Good matchup, though.

Kansas City got this amazing QB and has an embarrassment of riches on offense. They were killing teams last year. They greatly improved their defense and added Mecole Hardman and a nice backup RB. They are one game better than the Steelers right now.

Philly seemed unstoppable as they blew by the Pats for the Lombardi. The Rams seemed unstoppable on offense last year. That things change so quickly is amazing but equally predictable.

Rudolph was playing well against the Ravens when he got hurt.

It was Mike Dumblin's IMBECILIC decision to go with the wildcat against the Ravens, because it worked one week earlier, that spotted the Ravens a 10 point lead.

Not Rudolph.

Duck played well replacing Mason but yeah....don't put the Ravens loss on Rudolph. That would be dumb.

If they blow out the 49ers––especially with the BAL offense being dominant, I would be incredibly impressed. I think the BAL offense and SF defense are pretty even.

Also, I think the Ravens' commitment to analytics driving decisions in situational football adds at least 10% to their offensive success. Maybe more.

Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 84 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.

The Steelers had a hell of a run in 2008, too. It felt like we would dominate for years. In fact, I think our fans unwillingness to understand this cycle of NFL dominance is why the expectations were too high.

And NE's existence has skewed everyone's perspective and patience. This how other teams/fans felt in the late 70s, I'm sure.

Jackson is one good hit to the knees away from being “normal”, or equal to everyone else. At that point, the Ravens will be good but not nearly as dominant as they have shown lately. I personally don’t think their D is as good as they have ut they are feeding off the O’s success and momentum.

OMG, will you stop with these bedwetting threads? Seriously, Riddle, go get laid or something.

I want to see Jackson do it in the playoffs before I crown his ass.

We were on that list in 2008. The whole point is that no one stays on that list. Except the Patriots.

2008.

You reinforced my point for me. We’ve had a franchise passer in his prime since 2008 and after that losing effort in the 2010 SB have won a whopping 3 playoff games. One gifted via Bungles fuck-ups, one against a very weak Miami team, and one against noodle armed Alex Smiff.

I think what is missing here though is we have failed over and over to put us in the right position to be more dominant. Losing winnable games that have cost us bye weeks and the playoffs altogether.

AFC was pretty damn weak in 2012
when we choked on ourselves out of fear Tebow might break off a 13 yard run. We end up letting a guy who’d be out of the league within a year have a career day through the air against us.

Who’s to say where we go if we win that game?? Baltimore had to beat a Colin Kapershit led 49er team for the SB. I put 2012 Ben against him any-day.

But we couldn’t out of our own way.

Games such as that define this past decade.

And to the original point t of the thread, I don’t think Jackson is a long-term dominant QB. Age and hits will take its toll on that mobility. I think he’s a star that shines bright then fades. Don’t see 10 years of dominance.

He might kick ass in the near term though. Especially because he has coaches that know how to scheme their offense.

We’d be doing what we do with him

Between you and Kodiak we will be long tired of the negativity that you both bring to this board.
