This is literally the dumbest thing I've ever read regarding Tomlin or the Steelers. Like him or dislike him, but this statement is the pinnacle of moronic.
You've earned your own moniker, the fucking potted-plant formerly known as Swissvale72.

Took a long time, but to see the Rooney family posting here, supporting Tomlin....this site has come a long way.

I would say a large majority think Tomlin is close to if not THE dumbest coach in football. I'm still wondering why he was even considered for the hire to begin with. He repeatedly out does himself on idiot decisions. He will be our Achilles heel until he is gone

We all know why you didn't want Tomlin hired, Naelae.
The guy has been a NFL head coach for 9 years and has never had a losing season. And he's playing for basically the most conservative, least trigger-happy organization in professional sports. But yeah, I bet that seat is getting pretty damn hot.
C'mon guys.

And why would that be? If it's because he was grossly under qualified you would be correct. Care to babble on aimlessly about how great of a coach he is? Idiot

To the original question: No.
Did I answer that already? I think I may have, but my answer is the same.

Props to Tomlin for the great win vs the Raiders.

Considering everybody thinks this site has such great football knowledge, it's almost laughable that so many here think Tomlin should be gone or should have been gone previously.
If you don't like him, for whatever reason, fine. But don't confuse your personal feelings for logical reasoning.
To this point, Tomlin has done nothing worthy of firing. It's silly to think otherwise.
This season, but more likely next, will determine whether he should be fired. Based on the rebuild progression, that's the proper evaluation period and timeline.

Could also be Demetrius Gore, because only folks who work in banks write like him.
He doesn't threaten physical violence so not Ziv/Clem. I don't think Ziv/Clem was a fan of Tomlin's either. switz and HI5 do not have the IQ for his writing style either. STD writes like this:
You know Beth
Tomlin is the last person to blame for anything
Steelers
If you had half a brain and didn't play
Madden you'd know that
Living legend that's me
Never wrong
My vote goes to IC. He was a Tomlin ballwasher.

Random I am indifferent regarding his employment here. There is one glaring point that would indicate he should be on the hot seat.
He has a generational QB who is probably going into the HOF, in his prime. This is year 5 potentially without a playoff win. Not S.B., not AFC Championship, 1 lousy playoff win. If he goes this year without making the playoffs or winning a minimum 1 game how is this acceptable? Please I am anxious to hear your thoughts.
As an aside you don't rebuild with a generational QB, you go for broke while you can. Make hay while the sun is shining.

Fortunately Jones got hurt and forced Tomlin to play Ben....being overly cautious already cost us 1 game, probably 2, by not playing Ben against KC

Ben comes back, Tomlin doesn't = CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

It's not acceptable. You're absolutely right. My point is to those who think he should already be fired or imminently fired.
I disagree with the generational qb argument tho. That guarantees nothing. There are too many factors to use that as a lynchpin.
The guy has seemingly rebuilt a SB contender. What happens this year and probably next will seal his fate, either positively or negatively
As an aside, I could seriously give 2 shits about a playoff win if it doesn't lead to a deep run. I care about progress and follow thru. Last year was progress over 2012 & 2013. Now I expect a deep run and I'm not sure how to evaluate the season to this point due to all the injuries.

Wow, I'd hardly call my commentary ball washing. I simply in no way agree that what he's done to date is fireable.
That being said, if this year ends in another flameout, I'll light the pilot and turn the gas way up.

The point is that he hasn't done anything from an OBJECTIVE point of view to deserve firing. Least of all 2 years ago, as you have stated. So, yes, your reasons for wanting him fired can only be attributed to some annoyance you have with the man, not the job he has done.
You seem intelligent, so I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt here. Otherwise, I'll just classify you as an impatient fan with unreasonable expectations.

Going on five years without a playoff win.
All the while having a franchise QB.
But no problem, give him a lifetime contract.
Oh, and I'm the one who calls Tomlin a bug-eyed fuck. Get it right.

Tomlin coached a pretty good game against Cleveland considering he was so busy last week with Team Rousey planning her fight strategy.

Nothing like changing the topic to suit your needs, eh?
Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are, the pigeon is going to shit on the board and strut around like it won anyway.

Oh, and I'm the one who calls Tomlin a bug-eyed fuck. Get it right.
I didn't know anyone called him that, other than myself.
4 years with zero playoffs, is a problem.
4 years with the same team, no progress beyond a 1 and done, is the Cincinnati Bengals and a problem.
The past 4 years under Tomlin isn't a problem.
2011 - 12-4 with a fading team that loses to Tebow. Happens.
2012-2013 - Roll out significant aging players with young talented ones
2014 - 11-5. Very positive step with an ugly playoff loss. Eh, not happy, but groundwork is there.
2015 /2016 - Tomlin must produce deep playoff runs this year and especially next. This team is ready.
If 2015/2016 don't happen, he needs to be gone.

The bolded comment is utter nonsense. A generational QB guarantees that you have a shot. No excellent QB no shot. Look at the top QB's, their team are all super bowl contenders (Bree's maybe an exception). No way Jose, you got a great QB you got a shot. No QB no shot. Wasting years with Ben in his prime is not acceptable. So like you said he's got this year and next. I notice you are starting with the injury excuses. I just watched New England win, on the road missing their two tackles and their best wide receiver. No excuses, every team has injuries.
