Good I expect both starting this coming season and playing at a high level since they were spot on picks and not raw as fuck.

Secondary is the teams biggest weakness, so they go and take two DBs with their first two picks. Go figure. Add in Golson and you have a 1st and two 2nds as shiny new pieces.

There is something beautiful about the way this franchise goes about its business. The epitome of the KISS philosophy.

Missing the point. Fine w the positions selected and almost ok with the selections.

They could have gotten those players later than their actual selections. Pick up a pick here and there.

That's all I'm saying.

Underwhelmed by the pick. But I will say this. If Tomlin has slowly and painfully remade the front 7 on d over the past 8 years, he's pulling the trigger in the d backfield now.

Another pick that will really make or break Mike Tomlin's place with the steelers. If he turns these two guys into players, d will be better and MT will be looking good. If they bomb out Tomlin will be looking real bad in a few years.

Kid can play. He's a safety all the way. Very fluid. Hits like a truck and forces fumbles.

Absolutely love these 2 picks after watching slow, short db's get beat and run by. Finally we've made it 2016. You must have athletic db's and we just got 2 of them..

Of course you have no way of knowing these players would still be available.

How do you know this for sure?

It takes two to tango, maybe they tried, or maybe they made the pick at the right time, as a bunch of db's went after that pick

Still can't believe Andrew Billings has fallen this far.

Could they have? Think about that.

The Browns trade down a lot and acquire all kinds of picks, presumably getting their guys. How's that working out?

If they are discussing trade backs, it's obviously well in advance of their time on the clock. No, I don't know. They don't know. Sometimes you take educated gambles. And that gamble is move back L, pick up a pick, and add your player later. Losing Sean Davis to someone else doesn't wreck your draft.

True, but I agree with what Foster is saying.

Just fucking ONCE I'd like to see the Steelers add some picks.

I actually like the 2 guys the Steelers have pulled, but I will bet both would have still been available a few spots later than the Steelers got them.

It's like Colbert is offended by the idea of trading down.

Y town

Your argument is that if the Browns suck, and they are known for trading back....

That means trading back gets you nowhere. Because one of this most historically bad drafting teams was unsuccessful using that strategy?

Let me know if this is what you're saying.

Fuck trading back if you have a guy you want draft him because it's no guarantee he'll be there later.

Ok. Much respect Y but you can't bring the Browns into any conversation, post, etc when talking about the draft. They suck and don't win ever so putting them up as a blueprint for successful draft strategy is like saying "That chick is hot" but the chick has the AIDS.

I think teams try to stick to their board,at least successful teams do, and after seeing that a bunch of db's were taken after Davis, I think the Steelers did the right thing.

Losing Davis wouldnt wreck the draft, by why gamble if the highest rated safety left on your board is there at your pick?

One thing though, I would like to get a pick back to make up for those wasted picks last year, so I dont blame you for wanting that, if we get a good DL in the 3rd, I think most of us will be happy

No, that was just a cheap shot at the Browns cause it's funny every time and so fuckin easy!

I take issue with your stance that either player would have been there had they traded down. Other poasters have since made the same argument, so I won't regurgitate it.

I'm a slow typer and easily distracted.

I think he's talking about the extra 4th RND'ers they picked up. The rats Have 5. Yes, (5) 4th RND picks which is uncommon to say the least.

Davis lead all DB's at the combine with 21 reps.
