It is the old Bobby Knight formula of doing something to attract media attention away from the players and just let them do their jobs and prepare.

Clark Haggans was there too, but he ran himself right out of the action.

Check the user name. Totally fake.
Plus what the fuck is a 757 magnum.
I believe those use jet fuel as a bullet propellant.

UPDATE: Making terroristic threats was removed from the list of charges, city police spokesperson Sonya Toler told PennLive.com. Disorderly conduct was added to the list of charges in the release.

Wow!
Not very smart Peezy. May have just sealed his own fate as an NFL assistant coach. I think he has to be let go. No excuses are going to justify being a dirtbag. Terrible decision by Porter and a distraction for the Steelers. Disappointing.

Why should he be? I'd never suspend or fire anyone unless an outside authority forced me. If he's out on bail, I want him doing his job. At this point in the season he can't be replaced, winning is more important than morality. So he got drunk and got in a fight? So what?

Send him away.......doofus

I wouldn't want to disrupt the daily routine. That's more important than being moral.

If only Ryan Shazier had been there to keep him out of trouble...

If I'm Colbert/Tomlin, I called Kevin Greene last night and asked him to get on the first flight to PGH.

That's the guy they should have hired to coach LB's - he is an amazing person

Packers hired him in 2009. I know he interned with the Steelers in 2008...obviously there wasn't a full-time opening for him then, and the Steelers had just come off a legendary defensive season...not sure room could have been made for him.
He is looking to come back now that his kid's off to college.

Make the move today. Porter's simply not a person to place your trust anymore. I'd venture to say Harrison has been the 'real' LB coach this year.

Greene wants to come back, he's available, and he was supposedly a great help to the Packers LBs as an assistant.

Terroristic threats with his .757 Magnum? If they can't get Kevin Greene, I would keep Joey - at least, for the Bungle games. No one can be more irritating to the other team than Joey Porter. It was too bad when he was shot in the ass in Denver as he was never the same player after that.

As usual as time goes on more comes out. Starting to sound like Bouncers were off-duty cops and weren't exactly being very pleasant. Before we rush to kick Joey to the curb how about we wait a few days and get full details?

You mean be reasonable and level headed? Wait for facts and context?
Nah.
Throw him to the dogs.

If this was orchestrated by porter to keep the media off the team it's really a brilliant move. Looks like it's working too.

Sounds like there is more to this that initially reported. This still doesn't paint Joey in a great light, however, sure sounds like off duty Cop had a grudge.

Police report. Seems very fairly written.
Sounds like Joey was completely out of line and, given his record, he doesn't get any benefit of the doubt.

I've worked the door at bars that pro athletes frequented.
Some of them are cool (hockey players) but most of them treated the waitresses like shit and didn't tip for shit - while eating and drinking on the house. There's no need for them if they're bringing even more baggage. A lot of these guys are fucking assholes.
