way to represent your team, jagoff. He is definitely the next coming of Geno Smith or EJ Manuel.

I can think of several for whom Winston's draft stock just escalated. We need more anti-PC guys like that in the league who aren't afraid to tell it like it is and speak truth to power. He'd look good in Black and Gold, especially now that Ben is married with children, hence emasculated, and going downhill fast as a result.
In all seriousness, what an immature dip shit.

Bonehead...can't stay out of trouble. Buyer beware!

Both had some growing up to do, but neither are off to terrible starts this year. Winston has regressed mechanically, though, and his accuracy has suffered. He does remind me more of Florida State E.J. Manuel this year than he did as a frosh. He's also a bit of a dummy off the field.
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...

Jameis draft stock was going to plummet even without this latest incident.
He came in and took college by storm. Great stats. National championship. But his mechanics are poor. Every throw is a wind up. His decision making is questionable. His zip is questionable. They did not improve since last year. He looks decidedly average through two games this year without kelvin.
I think Jameis was and is going to end up a back end of rd 1 QB, at best.

I just found out what this is about and I am so angry.
There is no way in hell Jameis Winston should have been punished for this-- he is a college kid satirizing a popular internet meme, something virtually everyone here does regularly, and we're not even college kids.
he's not representing corporate america or running for office, he's a kid. He didn't lose his temper, he didn't injure anyone, he didn't get in a fight-- he essentially told a joke in the school lunchroom.
Give me a fucking break about this incident affecting his draft chances.

holy shit. that reporter is a legend.
But I disagree. Standing up on a table in a crowded public area and screaming that doesn't show much maturity. Much different than doing it within a group of friends or even stretching before practice. Big difference

Apparently both of these videos were staged and never on live tv. Still funny. Still not suspension worthy.

Suspended for half of his extra-curricular activity to be exact.
Feel as one will about a suspension, but these half-game suspensions are a fuckin' joke. Either take them off the field or leave them on the field.

Here's the thing. Nobody gives a fuck if you live or die. You don't represent shit except a minority percentage of the overbearing part of the middle class. You could end up on a milk carton tomorrow and the only ones that would give a shit live within the confines of your 4 walls.

So what did he do that was so bad, he cursed! OMG! This is why I HATE the modern USA! A guy curses, doesn't commit a crime, doesn't do drugs, doesn't hit a precious woman, doesn't drive drunk, he say's a couple BAD WORDS-whoop-de-doo, so THAT ALONE is enough to ruin his future earnings potential? Give me a break, and FCK any country that thinks like this! God Bless Europe- a place where they'd laugh this off as a non-issue! A place where they LAUGH AT U.S. culture, deservedly so!

I get what you're saying, but three distinct points:
1. "Fuck her right in the pussy" is probably not someone who was (and is, I think) subject to a rape investigation should be yelling in public.
2. Maybe it wasn't that bad, in the grand scheme, but schools still want their high profile members, such as athletes, to reflect well on the school.
3. Shouldn't this be part of the beauty of America? No one stopped Jameis from saying it. He's not in jail. But freedom of speech isn't freedom from all repercussions.

I don't think him yelling that would reduce the attendance or lower the TV ratings come Saturday, I don't think anybody is giving away their tickets or cancelling their tail gate parties either. Just a bunch of Pharassies, hypochrites who pretend they are pious, but really full of shit.

I'm not trying to stir up shit, but does anyone in this thread understand what a university is? And if you do, in what universe is what he did ok?
Ok, so this took 5 seconds to google:

Actually they're administrators who often don't know shit about educating anyone.

Exactly. I've never been around a head coach or an AD wouldnt wouldn't get pissed off if one of their players stood up on a table in front of hundreds of other students and strangers in a PUBLIC area and screamed "fuck her in the pussy". That doesn't represent the team the way any coach or athletic department would want.
On what planet are people surprised he was disciplined? Student athletes are held to a higher standard and have much more to lose than Joey Jagoff down the hall in the dorm.

Especially a Heisman Trophy QB, who is not just the face of the football team, but the face of the university, and the face of college football. Add the bad choices and other indiscretions, and it most certainly sets of warning bells.

Had to google reference. Was he benched for that? It happened off campus so he was functionally neither student nor student athlete. I imagine he was disciplined for screaming about pussy because at the time he was on campus and functionally a student. This guy is a winner on and off the field!

I might be wrong, but I think he was suspended from the baseball team for the seafood shoplifting. Not sure about the free soft drink debacle.
