I'll just bet when Rosenhaus caught wind that AB declined to meet with Rooney he called to set him straight. If AB was to show anymore disrespect other owners would take a note, and lessen potential trading partners not to mention enhanced future earnings from this stunt.

Being reported by Florio, now.

The Steelers are either going to pay, rot and not play him or he's getting traded for sure.

Would love to know what Ben is thinking right now.

AB is a toxic stain.

Swiss, you still want this fuck stick on the team? Think Ben does?

Holy hell.

EDIT: looks like AB is meeting with Art ii. Should be a fun convo.

So AB is calling Ben a rapist now and he's blaming the rest of the team for losing to the Raiders and not making the playoffs? I wasn't done with AB to this point but I am now.

I 100% get that sentiment.

AB's a gigantic piece of shit. I went from LOVING the guy a few months ago to detesting him now

But......if we let him rot, that means he isn't playing. If Antonio Brown isn't playing, a lot of things are going to have to go very right for the Steelers offense to not miss a beat.

It can happen, but if we get a first or a second rounder for Brown and we hit a home run (or at least a triple or double) with that pick, our offense stands a much better chance of succeeding than it would if we simply let AB rot at home or on the sidelines.

Agree. If we get a good offer we have to take it. We can't build our team around screwing AB no matter how good it might feel.

Best case scenario for me: AB talks a bunch of shit that convinces Rooney to fire Tomlin.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

Ask and you shall receiver, KC.

Here's my take: December 1, 2017, Steelers roster included Antonio Brown, Leveon Ball....and Ryan Shazier.

Opening day roster in 2019 not going to include any of those three?

But the team's still going to be coached by the fuckin' idiot Mike Tomlin??

My take is that it's going to be a long fuckin' season without those three players, but with the dumbuck coach and the dumberfuck owner.

I think the meeting with Art II could be interesting.

Reading Dulac's chat answers, it sounds like AB has been a locker room problem for quite awhile. AB going apeshit after JuJu was named Team MVP didn't seem to surprise anybody.

But I think all of this could have been smoothed over, had AB not been showing such a hatred recently towards Roethlisberger. Liking tweets about Ben being a rapist.....yeah, I don't think you can come back from that.

I guess Bell coming back is a very remote possibility but there isn't any way on earth AB can show his face in the Steelers locker room ever again.

We can’t afford to set this precedent where any star player thinks if you make enough noise, you get what you want. We’re gonna slam this door in his face, and we’re gonna tell him’—just like the Vikings did to Adrian Peterson a few years ago when he wanted out of Minnesota—’hey, you’ve got two choices: you play for us, or you play for no one. And if you choose to play for no one, you’re gonna owe us $11.4 million that we’ve already paid you in signing bonus money that you haven’t earned yet. I think precedent is overrated. AB and Bell are not the first to pull these stunts....others in the past didn't really come out ahead, and so we've seen very little of this in the NFL (or sports, in general). May be a lot of narcissism in pro sports, but the kind that AB and Bell have is still exceedingly rare.

Also, Bell is going to lose big time. That's a pretty good precedent in itself.

And no guarantee if AB gets traded he gets a new deal. Why would you give that to him? The first thing his new team would need to do is stop enabling him, which means forcing him to finish out his contract.

It's the exact same for me. I can't ever remember having my emotions shift so much on a player in such a short amount of time.

I f'n despise him and really hope we get rid of him. Send him to the Bills or Cards. I don't want to see him in a Steelers uniform ever again.

Someone should ask him why he quit on his team and refused to call the guy that signs his million dollar paychecks.

The media really does seem bound and determined to make this about Ben.

that is fine but not all the media at least the one's that cover the team are going after ben. But no way does AB have any excuses for quitting on his team.

This is exactly what I want to see. I want Rooney to show some backbone. AB is about the money, has 2-3 years left on his contract, and Rooney pays him. Rooney has all the leverage in this situation.

AB is making an ass of himself on Twitter. Answering all these questions in gibberish. Nobody can understand what hes trying to say. He is either high out of his mind or one of the dumbest human beings i have ever seen.

Don't you read the tweets? That was AB84 that did that, not Antonio Brown.

The responses are hilarious. But, obviously, showing the world how stupid you are has never stopped anyone from tweeting.

Although if I may attempt to understand and infer something from that tweet, Antonio Brown - the man - felt disrespected that Rooney had never invited him to his house.

It is not a fabrication. It is real. Ben indeed has a part in this. He needs to cease calling people out in the media. He has a big mouth. He is just like a gossiping bitch. He has a part in creating this. Ben, Brown, and Bell all need to be gone.

Well AB the “man”....you are still contractually bound to Rooney and the Steelers. You can act like a free agent all you want....I hope Rooney the MAN straightens your ass out about that. Be damn glad you’re not an employee of most on this site.....believe that! I’d let you dry rot for a few years...just because I could.....
