A letter to SteelerFury

Post by CdnSteelerFan » Fri Dec 14, 2018 4:39 am

Fury members,

I don't know how long I have been here if you include the other forum, but I have learned a ton from you all and love to see the opinions and facts posted by all of you. I learned today that I may not make it another 3 months and just to thank you all and this is the best way I could think of. Sorry if this is kind of jibberish, just a lot on my mind.

Thanks again folks, you've made my day many times and appreciate all of you for it. :)

GO STEELERS!

Thanks, never give up! I do have about a 20% of surviving this completely. Turns out I have some rare form of hepatitis.

OMG, I'm so sorry, you've been a good poster. I agree, spend time with those you love, and let's hope the docs are wrong on this.

I knew there was a reason that Canadian sports fan photo popped up in the podcast thread.

I'm sorry to hear about your challenge, but I sure hope you'll keep fighting and that you'll beat this thing. I'm glad we can give you some kind of lame entertainment here and I hope you're around for a long time.

I can only hope and pray that your circumstances change but whatever you do, enjoy the heck out of your remaining time and don't dwell on anything you cannot change. Forgive, love, and just do whatever the heck you want to every day.

Damn, there’s not much that we can say aside from Godspeed. I hope you are able to carry out some final wishes. Glad to have shared the journey of Steelers fandom with you over these years. When they win another one, we’ll make sure you are there in spirit.

Thoughtts are with you. You’ve helped this brother out on more than one occasion by sending me a link the times I was in need. I echo everyone else said about sending thoughts to you and your family, live, love laugh, forgive etc. Now I say, Envision beating this and understand the power of positivity. Both of those can and will help. Go punch this thing in the face and know your Steeler Brethren are with you.

Sorry to hear, CDN....and we'll all be rooting hard for that 20%. Never forget, and many thanks, for your making your access codes available to me when I was in PEI after Christmas with no other way to watch Steelers.

Hoping for the best, CDN...keep fighting!

So sorry to hear this, man.

We are with you...keep fighting.

We here are also honored you thought enough of us to share such painful intensely personal news.

Let us know what we can do for you to repay the honor you showed.

All my best wishes headed your way.

I can't in good conscience post to another thread without acknowledging this one first.

I echo what the other, more notable members of the Steelerfury clan said.....

I also want to add: pull a Ryan Clark on this thing likes it's Willis McGahee in the AFC CG and kick it's damn ass, brother!

God Bless you, man.
You'll be in my prayers today and in the future.

I was assessing last night's game and impact on Steeler season, then I read your post, that put the game into perspective. Try to grab onto that 20% survival rate, get into that group. Others did it, you can. If you have time and resources, what did those 20%ers do? Maybe combo of will power, great medicine, prayer, love. You're in a must win, even if the world beyond is better our will power, the powerful forces we can summon can sometimes influence outcome. God Bless you and your family.

A letter back to CdnSteelerFan.

CdnSteelerFan, although I don't know you outside of this forum I think I can say that I feel like you're family. While we don't always agree on things here at SteelerFury as a family we certainly share the same emotions about the great Pittsburgh Steelers. Win, lose or draw we're all in this together. As you continue your journey through this challenge just remember that your SteelerFury family is with you all the way. I think it's fair to state we will root for your restored health as hard [if not harder] than we root for a Steelers victory. Godspeed to you sir and many prayers for you and yours from all of us here at SteelerFury. Merry Christmas, Happiest of New Years and Go Steelers.

Praying for you and pulling for you to kick this in the ass.
Like many said above, stay positive and hope for the best.

When times are tuff, you can always come back to read and chat, take your mind off things for a moment or so..........and laugh and smile with your brothers on the Fury.

Thanks to everyone. Unlike the Steelers lately, I'm not just going down without a fight. :) . Strangely enough, I always thought they'd kill me with a stroke, lol. The support is overwhelming and after direct family, you folks rule!

Not jibberish at all. Takes a ton of courage to post something so personal.

I will keep you and your family in my prayers and I hope you kick this diseases' ass!

Not sure who to ask about this....my wife is trying to join with the name CSFswife and it's saying her email is not allowed (fleaswife22@gmail.com). Is there a way to reset it so she can make it work? She would be giving updates if things don't go well and I'm not able too.

CSF

A lot of you live in the Pitt area, was just curious if they sell Steelers scrubs? If nothing else she can represent at work for the foreseeable future on our behalf. :)
