They have to just accept the HIGHE$T BID no matter what, this franchise is well known as CAN'T AFFORD, like we can't afford to pay big bonuses, or consider free agents, so we need every cent we can get, Tampon Stadium or Gay Marriage Stadium whatever, as long as it PAY$ THE MO$T.

The amount of money paid for stadium rights will have zero effect on how we manage the business side of the football operation. They're completely unrelated.

What most here think: The 'Steelers haven't played in a Superbowl in nearly a decade and its Tomlin's fault' field.

I'd love 'Chuck Noll field'.

If the Steelers don't get their price - I second using Chuck Noll Field until they do.

Don’t lock the thread just yet.

Your Eat n’ Park would be much better across the street where the Pirates play. However you did jog my mind with another Western PA gem of a company. They could afford it too and would be a big middle finger to WaWa and Philly.

Sheetz Field!

And if you are a fan of the the best television show ever, The Wire, it would be Sheeeeeeeeeetz Field!

How do you know? If your income stream is less, what makes you think it won't effect moves they might want to make? I've heard this in the past, RIGHT HERE AT STEELERFURY, that we can't make free agency moves like Franchise X because we don't have their income stream.

umm, no it's not.

it's called a salary cap...

Before it gets any worse, it's best for you to just back away from the keyboard now and let people assume instead of continuing to remove all doubt like this...

Two names that I could live with

PPG Park (Pittsburgh Plate Glass)

or

Primanti Park (Primanti Bros.)

There you go. I'm a little ahead of you, but I honestly don't feel the least bit old. It's just a number.

Agree. I prefer organically-named stadiums. Give me Lambeau Field, Candlestick Park, Soldier Field, Mile High Stadium, Three Rivers Stadium rather than stadiums named after some random corporation. I don't mind Heinz because Heinz had been a part of Pittsburgh for so long they go together.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Shell Oil pick up the sponsorship. Being relatively new to the area it would be great PR for them.
