What are the reasons why the teacher (Manning) might make the student (Sanders) stay after school?

1. Student is a real dumb-ass and doesn't know the material.
2. Student is lazy and won't prepare without coaching.
3. Teacher has crush on student.
4.

Not saying this is the case but if Manning is having to single him out for extra practice it might not be a good thing.
Maybe he wouldn't have to stay late if he was a better receiver.

Classless shot at Ben notwithstanding, if Sanders catches 80 this year with 10 TDs, he gets the last laugh. On the Broncos offense, this is a possibility.

I just can't believe anyone cares what Sanders has to say... Kind of mind-boggling.

My Give-A-Fuck-O-Meter literally isn't on the dial yet.

He had one healthy season in 3 years, and was adequate. Good luck Broncos. The end.

Adequate? Bullshit. He sucked. He was an underachiever that, like most of these guys, think they are better than they really are. Getting paid doesn't help and probably inflated his sense of self, but he will be forever known for his inability to show up when he was needed.

He should send Ben $5MM simply because without Roethlisberger nobody knows who the fuck Emmanuel Sanders even is.

Thanks for posting this. If Sanders gets into Peyton's doghouse, no telling how long it would take for him to get out.

I like Sanders, he does some interviews on the sports radio station in Austin. Very likeable guy... Which boggles my mind why he decided to say what he did, then go and stand by it like he's drawing a line in the sand.

I hope he kills it in Denver so maybe we can get a 3rd or 4th in the next draft.

I doubt 4 is the case, but it is something that definitely motivates (good) teachers.

Is Ben a family member? Why do you care this much?

Do your jerseys smell worse for Sanders having made a dumb comment? Are you ASHAMED?

Sanders wasn't exactly an underperformer. He did about as expected for a 3rd round pick.

Sanders and Wallace and Cotch and even AB should all give a portion of their pay cheques to Ben

Oh, I'm sorry. I thought this was a thread about Sanders' leadership comments on a Steelers message board. Pardon me for leaving some comments about what was said. I apologize and it won't happen again.

And B2B, my "underachieving" comment is less directed at where he was drafted and more at him dropping passes, letting passes go right through his hands, and fumbling footballs. Whatever clutch is, he embodies the opposite of that.

I applaud Sanders for speaking his mind and not just giving the classic athlete bullshit. If I remember correctly he spoke highly of Ben. He thinks Peyton is a better leader? 99% of the football world would agree with that assessment, whether they have any knowledge or not.

He had somewhat of an unfortunate run here. .He was my early favorite of the YMC. He started off really well then got derailed by the foot injury. His injury in the SB was huge, as i don't think the packers had the personnel to check him.

In his first chance to start he mostly played well - good stats for a #2 - but unfortunately failed to make 2-3 critical plays. And it was clear to all that he was running some routes that weren't great for him.

So now he can fuck off. not because of what he said about Ben. but because he's a Bronco.

I'm pretty sure it was more that 2-3. As I said, saying he was adequate is being very generous.

BTW, Pey-pey showed his leadership skills in the press conference directly following the '05 playoff game against us. He threw his offensive line under the bus in front of microphones. Fuck him and his perceived leadership skills.

This is why it didn't pay for Ben to make any comment other than "I don't comment about what players on other teams say. I wish Manny nothing but the best".

Yep, Ben probably didn't respond in the PC manner, because he was actually hurt by these comments.

Roethlisberger believed in this filthy underachieving shitbag.

Threw this useless fucking c0cksucker a pass with the season on the line.

.....and, as expected this pussy let Ben down. Just like I knew he would.

But Ben went waaaaay above and beyond for this yeasty c*nt and these comments got to #7 for sure.

Every WR will have a drop or two. Sanders had some, ahem, poorly timed ones. Saying he had more than 2-3 big drops though . . . that's not how I remember it.

Sanders is a top 15 #2. If we had him this year we'd be better.

That said fuck him and his bronco ass. Hopefully he and Shark meet up some time this season across the middle of the field.

What a load of horseshit.

Sanders caught 4-5 balls alone last season, then lost them going to the turf.

He's always had that problem.

...and that doesn't count clean drops, like, you know the one that ended the season.

The guy is beyond ordinary and he's the most un-clutch receiver the Steelers have had in ages.

He's a fucking pussy.

Manny couldn't do what he was tasked to do, be a deep sideline threat.

BTW, did anyone watch the game last night? Chuckie was raving about BB every time mentioned Bortles.

I don't want to interfere with the narrative, but . . .

I think if you looked at the last couple of seasons objectively, you would conclude that the biggest game changing drops/fumbles belong to AB

AB's fumble against the raiders cost us that game (2012)
AB's fumble against the cowboys cost us that game (2012)

We all love AB, me included, so for some reason those aren't on his permanent record.

People are funny.

Sanders drop ended last season.

You know, as in "it's over, Johnny?"

I would consider THAT a pretty big drop.

Actually the Steelers were still in it after that.

One might say Antonio Brown ended the season the following week because he couldn't keep track of where his feet were.

To be 100% honest, my opinion is failing to keep one's feet in bounds dancing down the sideline is a more grevious mistake than dropping a catchable but difficult throw.

I am a fact apologist, not a Sanders apologist.

There have been plenty of big drops/fumbles over the last few years. Sanders had a few for sure. but he's not alone.

AB's miraculous play ended badly.

It was miraculous for him to even be in that position.

Sanders dropping a back shoulder throw that hit him in the hands?

Holy shit.

A receiver needs to know where his feet are.

Big deal he had a miraculous play. He didn't finish it off because he made a rookie mistake.

A play that works every, oh I don't know, every once or twice a year?

AB's sorry he fucked up.

Maybe he was tired from his 135 yard receiving day?

Wanna talk to me about the 100 yard receiving days Emmanuel Sanders has had DURING HIS ENTIRE STEELER CAREER?

Talk to me about one of 'em.

Just one.

Just one 100 yard receiving performance.
