It’s scary to think how Jibba & Randy Sphincter would have wasted a talent like Jackson.

Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 82 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.

Yes the Harbaugh that was going to lose his job last year until Lamar blew up.

Harbaugh over Tomlin is laughable but typical.

You mean last season when Dumblin had a 90%+ chance of making the playoffs with like 4 games to go and whiffed?

Dumblin didn't have a rookie QB who was learning the NFL game on the fly and struggled throwing the ball.

Dumblin had a future Hall of Fame QB who led the NFL in passing yards.

Harbaugh made the playoffs with that rookie QB, right? How'd the Steelers and Dumblin do?

But he did inherit Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Terrel Suggs, and Haloti Ngata. He has exactly one playoff win since that group disbanded 5 years ago
Harbaugh rode Joe Fucking Flacco to a Super Bowl win.

In your lifetime, you'll never see Dumblin do something anywhere near as impressive.

Joe Flacco and Anquan Boldin both played out of their minds. Harbaugh hardly implemented some devious master plan.

Harbaugh is obviously a very good coach. I see nothing to make me think he's obviously better than Tomlin. And before this team went on its current crazy run without Ben, I was ready to see Tomlin go.

On the bolded...

I do think there was a master plan. Word was, and when I watched them this was the case, they took 7 shots deep downfield a game. That, and they ran the football.

So, the master plan was to run the football and launch that ridiculous cannon plus Boldin's ability to highpoint and use that big body as a shield deep downfield. It was smart and they got the most out of their personnel.

I said early in Flacco's career that in spite of his flaws, that ridiculous cannon would be a threat. He was able to put it all together in the right system for his skillset for 1 ps run. The Ravens used him right in that 1 ps run.

Nothing? Absolutely nothing?

For starters, he has beaten the Patriots in the playoffs twice. Will probably get the trifecta this season but let's see.

And yes, his team rose from the ashes last season, thanks in part to Tomlin's Steelers' monumental collapse, to win the division, and this season, they are poised to win it all again for the second time since Tomlin's Steelers last won the Super Bowl in February 2009.

So if you're not seeing absolutely any reason why Harbaugh is better than Tomlin, you probably have the blinders on.

Did not say there was NO plan. I said there was no offensive genius at work. He had a QB at the peak of his powers who had an absolute cannon of an arm and a WR with elite ability to make combative catches.

For example: Praising Harbaugh for a defeat of the Patriots in the 2009 post season, but ignoring that the Colts bent him over a log the following week. I will point out (again) that he has a losing record vs. Marvin Lewis.

The main difference between Tomlin & Harbaugh is that we put Tomlin's every decision under a microscope and don't scrutinize Harbaugh to anywhere near the same degree.

This is the same guy that loses to the Bengals, has long playoff droughts, has had losing seasons.. There are off-setting deficiencies in Harbaugh's coaching. Tomlin and Harbaugh are different coaches.

I have had it with Tomlin getting his ass handed to him by the Pats, but I'm not so blinded by Pats hate that overlook everything else.

If we set BB aside, it would be hard not to have Tomlin at least in the convo as the second best coach in the league.

Before this season I was ready to see Tomlin go. Still might be.

Overall, coach to coach, no.

But what he exceeds Tomlin in, is having the brains to understand his own and team weaknesses and get coaches that make the team better.

Dumblin couldnt see them if he was standing on a railroad intersection and they were a freight train approaching with lights flashing, horn blowing and the crossing warnings going off.

Tomlin brought in Austin, Bradley, Dunbar and the late Darryl Drake, all who are excellent coaches. He was handed Butler, and Ben wanted Fitchner. I think we have assembled a pretty good staff, but we need a QB coach.

I don't think a QB coach would benefit Ben. Ben will be Ben no matter what. But a QB coach could help the younger and less experienced MR and Duck.

I take Harbaugh over Tomlin every day of the week and twice on Sunday. Tomlin's done a good job this year - but he's operating under low expectations. There was a week late in 2017 where Ben led the league in passing yards, Bell led the league in rushing yards, and AB led the league in receiving yards - triple crown of performance and we couldnt take advantage of it. As nice as its been that this season was rescued from the brink of disaster, I'm not about to have rose colored glasses looking back at the last few years. Where the F was this coach and defense when we had our window?

We won the only game MC Hammer Jr missed..

Swiss will tell you that MC Hammer balled out in every game he played.

Roethlisberger led the NFL in passing yardage. The problem (as it had been for many years) was the defense.

Remember when Dumblin came here as a guru for defensive backs then couldn't develop a defensive back to save his life?

Swiss will tell you that AB was universally acknowledged as the hardest working player on the Pittsburgh Steelers throughout his tenure in Black & Gold.

Swiss will tell you that AB was arguably the best receiver in the NFL.

Swiss will also tell you that AB is clearly out of his fuckin' gourd.

the 2017 D was good enough until shazier went down. Then we weren’t. It’s almost like having someone in the middle of the field that can make a play is helpful.
