Houston over Tennessee I guess?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but It looks like Houston beats us in a wildcard tiebreaker if we both lose today and the Titans take the AFC south lead.
But if Tennessee loses today, we can lose and still maintain the 6th WC slot.

I told you asshats and assorted B2B disciples a couple weeks ago that SBI was New England over Houston...and this is the fuck why!!! We have to get into the playoffs before worrying about who we would play first round. SBI is always to have our major competitors for playoff spots lose.
Okay, yeah, Houston over Tennessee, I guess!! Reality is that we want one of those team to lose three straight, although unlikely. We want whomever wins today to sweep their home-and-home and the loser to also lose the in-between game. Tennessee, hosting New Orleans, even though at home, I think is more likely to lose than Houston visiting Tampa Bay...although that's certainly not a gimme.
Only way I think we're in a favorable position with tiebreakers is to beat the Bills tonight, then we would beat Tennessee on common opponents. If not, I think we lose out to both on the Strength of Victory tiebreaker....this is where Steelers having beaten nobody...and again....Houston beating New England, comes back to fuck us over.
So yeah, Houston over Tennessee...let's take the road team, hope then hope they both lose next week, so that Week 17 is still meaningful for Houston.

I ran across an article by Bryan DeArdo CBS reporter dated Dec 9.

In the 3rd to last paragraph he seems to think the Steelers have a chance at the 4th seed but I think that is impossible. I thought if you did not win the division the best you could do is 5th or 6th seed. Has something changed?
Even if the Ravens had lost the last 3 and the Steelers win their last 3 they would have 1st or 2nd not 4th. I don't see how they could be 4th in any scenario. I cut and pasted the article below.

Tennessee, who has found its stride since putting quarterback Ryan Tannehill in the starting lineup, also has an even tougher matchup in between their two games against the Texans: a Week 16 showdown against the 10-3 Saints in the Superdome.
While both of those AFC South teams could certainly make the playoffs, it's more likely that one will knock the other one out of playoff contention while opening the door for the Steelers and Bills.
Speaking of Week 17, the Steelers may receive some unexpected help in the form of their biggest rival: the Ravens. If the Ravens already have the No. 1 seed locked up, they may consider resting Lamar Jackson and several other starters for their regular season-finale against the Steelers. That would surely give Pittsburgh, who may need to win that game in order to clinch a playoff spot, a greater shot at beating the Ravens after taking them to overtime back in Week 5. The Ravens, with wins in their next two games (at home vs. the Jets and at Cleveland) would clinch the No. 1 seed.
There's also a chance that the Steelers may have a playoff spot locked up before their Week 17 showdown. If the Steelers win their next two games, and either the Titans or Texans lose their next two games, Pittsburgh would secure a playoff spot. The only remaining drama would be whether or not they could move up to the fourth seed and a chance at avoiding the Chiefs in the wild card round.
While nine wins may be enough, Pittsburgh may need to go at least 2-1 in their final three games to clinch their seventh trip to the playoffs since 2010. The guess is that whoever wins Sunday's game at Heinz Field will ultimately secure the fifth seed, while the loser of that game will need to a win in Week 16 to remain on the inside track of the AFC playoff picture.
Ultimately, the Steelers, like they did this time a year ago, control their playoff fate. But unlike 2018, the Steelers are playing their best football at the right time. And despite their laundry list of injuries, Pittsburgh has discovered its winning formula for success in 2019: a dominant, opportunistic defense, a clutch special teams unit and an offense that seldom beats itself while making just enough plays to complement its defense. A loss to the Bills tonight puts serious damage to their playoff chances.
I believe they are going to need 10 Ws to make the tourney, and I see them having a tough go at winning in Baltimore even if Harbaugh sits Jackson.

I just read a scenario:
We beat Bills and Jets.
New England beats Bills.
Baltimore beats the Browns
Titans lose against Texans or Saints
Texans beat the Bucs.
Week 17 against the Raven’s could mean both teams can virtually forfeit with nothing to be gained or lost.
Week 17 equal bye week bowl!
