We are the most diehard Steelers site in the universe. Not a single person here mentioned Cowher’s name once for the most deserving Steelers to the HOF.
Cowher was a great coach, he’s a Steeler, so I’m happy for him—but WTF? Over Bill Nunn?
I’m concerned that this is bad news for Donnie Shell.

Bad news for Faneca and Shell likely because they won’t put 4 Steelers in. Mark the Steelers down for the Hall of Fame game
Redskins Draft:
Marvin Harrison, Jr., WR, Ohio State
Patrick Paul OT Houston
Jordan Morgan OT Arizona
Ja'Tavion Sanders, TE, Texas
TJ Tampa, CB, Iowa State
Trevin Wallace LB Kentucky
Bucky Irving RB Oregon
Jordan Travis QB FSU

Love it. My childhood memories of watching him spitting and scowling on the sideline and those amazing defenses made me fall in love with football.
Tiny hands, smaller heart.

This means that She’ll won’t get in. He deserves it WAY BEFORE Marty shottenheimer junior. Cowher is the epitome of the hall of very good. Shit.

I believe the 15 members of the 100th anniversary class will go in sometime in September in a separate ceremonySteelperch wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 1:09 amBad news for Faneca and Shell likely because they won’t put 4 Steelers in. Mark the Steelers down for the Hall of Fame game
Cowher was not a great coach.
At all.
At all.

Donnie Shell’s 40 year old crusty jock belongs in the hall of fame before Schottenheimer’s demon spawn.

I’m a Cowher guy
Wish he were still coaching the Steelers
That said I’m mildly surprised he got in.
My guy Jimmy Johnson much more HOF worthy.

Cowher isn't a HOF coach IMO but Cowher got us #5 and the team was setup for us to get #6 & #7. I believe his issues with his wife's health before he stepped down took his heart outta the game.
As a Steeler fan, I want the walls of Canton lined with former Steelers. Faneca, Ward, Greenwood, Shell, Russell, etc.
So congrats Coach Cowher and thanks for all the angst filled losses, memory-filled victories, the spit-flying, jaw-jutting , mean-eye glaring and post-game cheering while stalking the sidelines.
I salute you sir.

Cowher was a damn good head coach for sure.
DAMN good and I’m happy for him, but.........c’mon.

Can we PLEASE stop this. Cowhers wife was not diagnosed until like two years after he retired.I believe his issues with his wife's health before he stepped down took his heart outta the game.
Was not a factor...

congrats to Coach Cowher love the man loved his way he coached the steelers . this will be a big HOF year
Cowher coached like Marty for much of his career. But, he never had a QB. Think about it...he had Ben for what...3 years. One of the years he was a rookie and his 3rd year he came back after that terrible motorcycle accident.
I have no doubt Cowher would have been less conservative with Ben at the helm over a longer period of time.
Congrats to Coach Cowher!

Cowher didn’t want Ben, he would have played the same conservative shit he always did.franco32 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 4:51 amCowher coached like Marty for much of his career. Ben would have played out his contract and left in FA.

Congrats to coach Cowher. Well deserved. Probably one of the best coaches at doing more with less than any coach I remember. Great talent evaluator and very entertaining personality as a coach. One of the best coaches at putting together a staff. He brought in some great coaches & assistants to work under him. His teams were disciplined, however his players loved & respected him. One of his best moments was running Donahue out of town.
Always hoped he would get back in the league as a GM of a team versus broadcasting after his wife passed. I always thought his best asset was assembling teams, coaches and evaluating players. Football smart, great guy, great personality, long career as a player, assistant coach, head coach & broadcaster. Well deserved Hall of Famer.
Deserves all the accolades he gets and should be thought of as right up there with Noll in Pittsburgh lore. Congrats to one of the best!

So I have to ask.....
If Cowher made the HOF what does this say about Tomlin? Tomlin a lock for HOF?

“I pride myself in creating discomfort for myself and others,” Tomlin said, “I’m fundamentally against comfort.” [3-24-2024]
Sadly he probably is....and it's a FUCKING JOKE.Steelafan77 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 5:54 pmSo I have to ask.....

Hard to say. Tony Dungy, John Madden, and Bill Parcells are all in the HOF and have similar resumes.Steelafan77 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 5:54 pmSo I have to ask.....

I would’ve said...no fucking way Tomlin is a HoFer. But with the addition of Cowher, the hall has really lowered the bar.K_C_ wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 6:04 pmSadly he probably is....and it's a FUCKING JOKE.Steelafan77 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 5:54 pmSo I have to ask.....

Tomlin will probably go in the same year as Kordell Stewart and Willie Colon.

It stands for Kill Cowher.....and after countless playoff disasters (normally in the title game) I wanted the motherfucker dead. It became clear Cowher would need a miracle to ever win a Super Bowl. Thank Christ he accidentally (against his "better" judgement) found it in Ben Roethlisberger.
