9ers were up 10 in the fourth and lost by 11.

Steelers have to play against the Chiefs for a long while.

We have a lot of work to do.

My only motivation in cheering on the Chefs is to see the sequel Head & Shoulders commercial with Troy inducted to the HOF and Maholmes winning a ring :ugeek:

Also Steelers still the only NFL franchise* with six Lombardy Trophies!!

* Non-cheating franchises, that is

That'd be nice.

In game odds at 7:25 was 95% 49ers.

KC and BAL are only going to get better and the PS aren't competitive with them now.

Mainly offensively. if we can keep the core D together for a few years the Steelers could be back again.

That final Chiefs TD just won me $1,000.

Had 1 (KC) and 0 (SF) for 4th quarter in one of the pools I was in.

I don't think we are that far off KC IF...IF number 7 is healthy. Our D is better than theirs but we need help on O.

Three ridiculous come from behind playoff wins to a SB.

I don't see the Steelers doing anything like that with an older Ben.

Nor do I. We had a chance the year we lost to the goddamn Jags at home, but well, we lost that game.

That's quite generous giving the MVP to Mahomes after that performance, but he did improve down the stretch. I thought they'd give it to Williams.

We were never going to win the SB with that shit defense that year.

I’m just anxious to see how Ben progresses....praying the surgery and rehab will buy him a few more quality years.

The lack of a quality backup is damn scary....

I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t think the return of a 39 year old Roethlisberger coming off of arm surgery instantly makes the Steelers contenders. I also need to see the defense put together another solid season before I anoint them “great”. Expecting them to generate another 35 or so turnovers is a lot to ask.
You don’t need to squint to see the Steelers heading in the wrong direction. They have many holes to plug, and not a lot of resources to work with.

We have a lot of holes...but if we hit on a TE, WR, and/or guard in the draft, I think we can make some noise.

Has anyone heard ANYTHING about Ben? I’ve scoured and I’ve seen nothing.

Will they ever put a camera down the line?
Chip in the ball and you don’t need a camera angle
They can't make a chip accurate enough that if the tiniest bit of the point crosses the plane that it will register.
They absolutely can and have tested the technology––so I have heard from the consultant on the project. 6 chips in the ball and a laser down the plane of the goal.

not really you stop the frame when the shoe hits the line and the ball position tells you the rest.

Terry Bradshaw hits that throw. That's why it's not good enough to be a good NFL QB but not great.

You mean the Baltimore team we sent to OT with a shitty QB? Or the KC we lost to by a single score when we had no defense?

This is why you can't judge NFL careers by SB MVPs. Mahomes wins one here, Peyton Manning won his year for nothing, while Ben doesn't sniff it in 2008.

While we're all here: SteelerFury Board draft #1 will start Sunday the last day of the combine. No clock on Sunday March 1st, Monday the 2nd of March the clock starts.

Everybody gets their teams unless there is some debate. I'll put a pinned post when it's time to select and sign up.

He was robbed. He should have gotten it or at least shared it with Holmes
