SF Board Draft: Comments, Brickbats, Rules, etc
Hey, everyone. Looking forward to the best event we do each year.
RULES:
Trading picks and SIGNED PLAYERS UNDER CONTRACT is allowed, but no future year picks, please. Please run the trades by me or SteelPerch if there's any doubt about their legality or fairness. I reserve the right to veto if there's a problem.
That said, I can also help facilitate a trade via texts or twitter for anyone who's hard to reach. At this point I have texts for 28 of you, I think, email only for one, and twitter only for 2. Easy enough to contact each other, even for you non-social media Luddites.
The clock will be a little different this year: 2 Hours for rounds 1-3, 1 hour for 4-7. We've been 90% picking in 30 min or less the last few years, and it's only been a few outlier picks that held things up. If you miss your turn, you'll be skipped just like the real draft; you may pick any available player as soon as you are able to pick.
You can also send me a list of picks before your turn and I will use it to select for you. In fact, you can even send me lists with complicated instructions like : "if both these SS are gone, then pick this guy, unless the Browns pick a LB, in which case select the EDGE rusher first." You may laugh, but I have gotten more or less this instruction before.
Also note: I try not to see your listed players before I have to go to the list. I won't open you DM or scroll down your text if I get the gist you'll be listing players. I don't like to know before I pick, so I won't intentionally or unintentionally select your player and face your wrath.
I'm going to try and list the picks in a thread on twitter, so if you have a twitter handle, then please pass it on to me so I can tag you in the thread.
Let's start now and we'll be loosey-goosey with the clock until everyone has checked in. Cheers and hope you all enjoy the distraction from the end of the world.

Here is a list of available prospects I will try to keep updated... but always check the main picks thread to be safe.

P.S.: if real-life picks are traded before said picks come around in the draft, board will be updated. I’ll try not to do that once the teams have already picked without that trade in mind.

In all the years doing these mocks Burrows was the easiest choice I have made. Why do I feel dirty for passing on Young then?

Not going to delay this thing too long, but the Lions will listen to offers for the #3 pick until about 11 AM Eastern

Picking for the Raiders I feel pretty strongly that Mayock loves Isaiah Simmons. Hes got the 12 and 19th pick and 3 3rds to dangleCharles Demarr wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2020 2:27 pmNot going to delay this thing too long, but the Lions will listen to offers for the #3 pick until about 11 AM Eastern
But I’m looking to acquire picks not trade them

Thanks B2B!
Arizona’s 8th pick is on the auction block.

This draft year is weird: there are a lot teams with surplus picks and a lot of teams with few. I have a feeling there will be a LOT of trades in real life.

If New England had offered you their entire draft, would you have taken it for Burrow?fractalsteel wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2020 2:11 pmIn all the years doing these mocks Burrows was the easiest choice I have made. Why do I feel dirty for passing on Young then?

New England WILL be looking to move up in the 1st in this draft.
If you’re looking to move down, pm me an offer. I have 12 fucking picks.
We’ll also be looking to move up into the 2nd round.

You may be right but I think it is foolish to draft a safety in the top 10Steeldrama wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2020 2:41 pmPicking for the Raiders I feel pretty strongly that Mayock loves Isaiah Simmons. Dolphins looking to move back up into the top 10 from 18 for a haul of mid/late round picks. PM me for deals. Won’t last long, I can’t do this all day.
Simmons is far more than that. I think he is game changer.jebrick wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2020 5:41 pmYou may be right but I think it is foolish to draft a safety in the top 10Steeldrama wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2020 2:41 pmPicking for the Raiders I feel pretty strongly that Mayock loves Isaiah Simmons. FC's proxy is interested in trading Goff or any of the Rams' WRs in an effort to get into Rd1. Cupp, Cooks, or Woods. Let me know.

The Rams just guaranteed three years of Goff's salary and bonus. In excess of $84M they can't get out of until 2023. Dead cap number is $94M right now.
