Jags select DT Leki Fotu Utah.

Jags traded Calais Campbell, cut Dareus, former first round pick T. Bryan is a huge bust. Their run defense last year sucked.

Jacksonville selects OG Logan Stenberg mean, nasty, bully, mauler have been used to describe him, my kind of o- lineman.
Jags oline sucked as usual, they need a tone setter. Fournette will love running behind him.

With the 120th pick, The New York Giants select a plug and play RG. Nothing fancy, just a 10-year starter at that spot:

I really liked Aaron Jones coming out. Had good vision, made some tacklers miss, had good speed, was solid as a receiver out of the backfield. Great athlete who was way under the radar because he played at UTEP (where prospects go to die... see: Robertson-Harris, Roy). Jones was also just about the only weapon they had on offense. This is more or less also true for the prospect we're selecting here (although he did have PFF's 3rd best OL in college football to run behind).

In the spirit of comparison, here's Aaron Jones vs our selection:

Jones: 5091 208 4.49 1.51 16 reps 37.5 10'07" 4.20 6.82
658 4114 6.3 33TD 71 rec 646 9.1 7TD led CUSA in Rushing yards 2016 with 1773

4.124: 5101 203 4.41 1.58 20 reps 37 VJ 10'05
482 2884 6.0 25 TD 39 rec 319 8.2 6 TD led sun belt in rushing yards 2x (2018 & 2019) led Sun Belt in KO returns & TDs

He's speed to burn and wastes no time when he sees the crease... zoom.
Grabbed larger chunks of production pie in both 2018 and 2019
Has talent as one-cut back in outside zone
Runs low and smooth with plus change of direction quickness
Rare ball security with no fumbles in 482 carries
Hips are fluid and loose for short-area swivel
Takes away tackle angles once he's past second level
Patient runner who sets up open-field tacklers, leaving their feet in mud
Sneaky leak out on screens with quick run after the catch
Proven effective as kick returner
Aggressive lead shoulder on blitz pickup and chip blocks
He adds more speed and vision to this RB crew, and Danny Smith is thrilled to have some competition for KR.

With the 124th pick in the 2020 SteelerFury Board Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers select:

Darrynton Evans, RB, Appalachian State

Perfect time for a huge-upside project. Think 2003 when Ike Taylor was selected by the Steelers at this EXACT spot.

Like the young Ike, this dude is RAW.

He played in all of ONE high school football game due to religious restrictions (Seventh-day Adventist).

Went the JUCO route and went on to the PAC-12 and played well as a Junior and Senior. Was a surprise combine invitee, and did not disappoint:
4.49 40yd, 1.55 10yd, 21 reps, 35” vert, 127” broad, 6.96 cone, 4.26 shuttle

At 6ft, 228lbs he’s a tweener and that’s just where we want him. The work that needs to be done is between his ears, and scouts say he’s very coachable.

Welcome to New England: Davion Taylor, LB/S, Colorado

Now comes the part of the draft where I traditionally reach for players I like for no other reason than I like them.

This local kid from New Castle just has incredible instincts, an uncanny ability to break on the ball. Dig him. A lot.
Another, fierce, smart, team leader for my guy Mayock.

With the 127th pick in the SteelerFury draft, the LAS VEGAS Raiders select, Geno Stone S Iowa

Had to make a choice between analytics and film. You guys know my mantras by now: certain positions are really athlete positions. This player isn't a terrible athlete, but he plays a lot better than he looks on paper.

I know everyone says this is a weak TE class, but there are some really good players in there. Certainly enough for the 2nd half of the draft.

This player boomed in 2019, blossoming into a nice receiving option––unfortunately, it was for a bad team with serious pass-protection issues, so his numbers are good but not eye-popping. However, for this Steelers team, the tie-breaker for him was blocking. His blocking effort is high and his base makes him pretty stout in that regard. For a team with Vance Mcdonald, Eric Ebron, & Zach Gentry... somebody is going to get some blocking snaps. And there's always the possibility that the team would be better served with a TE2 who can do a lot of things and line up al over the place. We think this is the man for the job.
..had just eight career catches heading into the 2019 season, but his '19 tape should be Exhibit A in assigning his draft grade. He needs to work on eliminating bad weight and improving his technique as an in-line blocker, but his athleticism and speed really stand out in space. He's a threat in the seam and with deep corners and over routes in a play-action based attack. Once he learns to attack throws and body defenders with his frame, he will offer value as a possession target on third downs. (his) areas of improvement are attainable and he projects as a play-making Y with future TE1 potential.

Strengths
Early juice getting up the seam
Fluid gait in space, reminiscent of enormous receiver
Coverage finds it hard to close space on seam and over routes due to his speed
Three-level potential with career average of 15.2 yards per catch
Finds soft underbelly of the defense against zone
Frame and toughness to bang between the hashes as a target
Makes smooth adjustments to snare off-target throws without bogging down
Safety blanket size and soft hands for third-down conversions
Blocking technique needs work, but effort is solid
Works at chopping feet through sustain phase as run blocker
Has talent to stalk and connect in space
With the 135th pick in the 2020 SteelerFury Board Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers select:

Devin Asiasi, TE, UCLA
