Well, it again seems his retirement did not last long (2 days!) as he has asked the NFL to conclude their investigations of him so he can sign with a team. His accountant probably called him told him he is almost broke!
AB has Kanye West level bipolar mental health problems.
How long before AB declares his candidacy for President? He already has his campaign slogan:

2 51 TRADE: Brandon Aiyuk, WR
3 84 Hunter Nourzad, C, Penn State
3× 98 Jarvis Brownlee, Jr., CB, Florida State
4 128 Qwan'tez Stiggers, DB, Toronto Argonauts

Man, did we miss out on some SERIOUS meltdowns last year if AB had Mason and Duck throwing him the ball all year.

Sounds like he's also got a bipolar accountant.

Seemed pretty clear he was struggling with bipolar issues back in college. Frequency and severity increase with age, also. I'm not a psychologist, but the pattern of behavior fits almost perfectly.

Makes you wonder if anyone on any level ever got him help for that.

If he did retire, would that free up New England / Las Vegas' salary cap in some way by taking his dead money off their books?
Carolina:
2.33 Payton Wilson, MLB, NC St.
2.39 Jalen McMillan, WR, Wash
3.65 Blake Corum, RB, Michigan
4.101 Audric Estimé, RB, Notre Dame
5.141 Matt Lee, C, Miami
5.142 Jalyx Hunt, Hybrid S/LB/Edge, Houston Christian
7.240 Judge Culpepper, DL, Toledo

Pretty sure he is off everyone's books currently. The only money he made last year was signing bonus money and a week 1 game check.

If anyone cares.....

Antonio Brown was notified today by NFL Special Counsel for Conduct Todd Jones that he has been suspended without pay for the first eight regular-season games of the 2020 season for multiple violations of the NFL's Personal Conduct Policy.
Adam Schefter
@AdamSchefter
NFL also warned Antonio Brown that any future violation of the Personal Conduct Policy will likely result in more significant discipline.
Basically, he's suspended for the first half of 2020 and any further fuck ups mean he's likely done for an entire season.

I would think he'd win an appeal. He was de facto suspended 15 games last year, and an additional 8 this year is simply unprecedented. Only substance abusers have been suspended that long or longer.

Would he have to be in a room with Goodell for the appeal and, you know, speak? That's a recipe for a lifelong ban. Not saying I wouldn't love a transcript. The only funnier possibility of a former Steeler having a conversation with The Clown would be James Harrison.

Can also be suspended linger after rape investigation is done separate from todays conduct detrimental.

I suspect they’ll be more suspensions if anyone was dumb enough to sign him for the rape investigation/findings. I don’t think that happens though, I bet he’s all together done.

According to Harrison the guy you want to take to the NFL offices is Colbert. Said he was the man when they were fining Harrison for "illegal" hits.

I think the one accusation is suspect as hell, which might also be why no police report was filed. The other accusation, along with the threat/intimidation, is probably a much bigger problem for him with the NFL.

But, again, we have precedent. Big Ben, among others, had two allegations and received 6 games (reduced to 4). By not ruling last year, the NFL has already effectively suspended him 14 games or whatever. I'm just not seeing the justification for 8 games, much less 22 in actuality and possibly more.

Did the new CBA specify an arbitration process for appeals? The old one was messed-up with appealing to Goodell to review his own decision - we call that a kangaroo court.

The owners control Goodell like a dancing marionette. Brown pissed off two of the more respected owners in the league in Kraft and Rooney, including some personal insults on a very public platform about Kraft's "off the field" conduct. Have you known rich oligarchs to be the live and let live type? If he bothers to fight this, and it gets reduced, they'll just blackball him again, until he gets frustrated and does something else. It's a 32 man billionaire good old boys club, and at the end of the day, they're going to protect their own.

Yup. And that's not even talking about the raiders and gruden - who is also respected throughout the league. AB shit on him and raiders ownership.

Ehhh... not so sure about that. Davis’ old man ruffled plenty of feathers over the years. I’m sure there are plenty of the old schoolers that still hold a grudge on the organization. And Gruden is just a narcissistic douche bag. (But that’s just my opinion. )

Good point. But there IS a CBA, and what you're referring to is also known as collusion. I don't know, it just seems a little excessive.

And, yes, on top of that he is subject to more with the ongoing sexual assault investigations. So safe bet he's in line for another 4-6 games. But I bet there will be a contender interested in adding him for a playoff run. Of course, NO thought about that last year and AB still managed to piss them off.

Your opinion on Gruden may be accurate but he sold the league pretty hard for those same owners for a long time on TV and helped make them coin yearly since he has been involved with the NFL.

It's only collusion if you can prove it, and they have the "AB is a detriment to the team" defense to hide behind in perpetuity.

Agreed. Independent people with common goals doesn't make for collusion or a conspiracy. It can, but is hard to prove.

Ryan Clark on First Take today saying that the Packers should sign AB and AB would be great for the Packers, and AB is still one of the best WRs on the planet. His co-host DFoxworth saying he’s too much of a character risk.

So I guess Ryan Clark has changed his tune on AB.

I'm sure Clark knows Brown is still an enormous asshole and scumbag, but if he can somehow fly straight in Green Bay, Brown might be the missing piece to get the Packers back to the Super Bowl.

The guy could probably help every team if he could stay out of his own way, but the Packers have a desperate need for a player like Brown.

Brown never got to the Super Bowl with some very talented Steelers teams, what makes one think he’s the missing piece for a very flawed GB squad.
Then there’s the fact that he clashed with Ben...AB and Rodgers would be nuclear war.
And    at the idea of AB getting his act together.

Foxworth said that he'd been burned by Brown. He admitted that he stuck up for Brown in spite of RC telling him not to do that. But after the Raiders and Pats, he began to see that the problem wasn't the Steelers, Ben, or Tomlin after all. So he was the only one on the panel selling this and calling out RC for even mentioning it.

They cant put Brown on that team with a 2nd-year coach already struggling to figure out how to coach a HOFer.

It was good TV, Packers were sitting there laughing about the possibilities.
