I think it was Romo that said sometimes Ben plays better after getting dinged up. Hard to argue based on the results.
But what he's done the last 2 weeks is nothing short of legendary. The guy has literally, two weeks in a row, gone no huddle - check with me - draw plays in the dirt....and been almost unstoppable. He doesn't even give a shit that the defense knows who's going where - he knows they can't cover everyone!

A missing chromosome is Turner syndrome where you have mostly normal intelligence but look like a disaster.
An extra chromosome is down syndrome and you make decisions like Mike Tomlin.
Two extra chromosomes and you're a chimpanzee.

What a terrible time have to listen to Nance and Romo all game to POS all game. They better fix the ST and also the lack of a power game who can't get a freaking yard

The entire offense looked like shit today for over 30 minutes of football. Then they got to a point where the run game was taken out of the game plan because we were playing catch up the entire time.K_C_ wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 12:51 amSnell was unimpressive.LakecrestSteeler wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 12:47 amDisagree! Fine, but don’t put them in when Tomlin/Randy are moving there stupid pawns to setup play action. You know they need their 10 run quota like a binky nipple before they go to better plays.K_C_ wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 12:51 amSnell was unimpressive.LakecrestSteeler wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 12:47 amDisagree! Travis Etienne with the 32nd pick would work nicelyW&M_Steeler wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 12:55 amThe Steelers run game is mediocre at best right now, and it will be completely terrible if Conner gets injured. Snell and Samuels suck, MacFarland has not shown much. RB has to be a draft priority.
Yes he was.
But that last call is inexcusable.
4th and 1 is straight ahead .
Not slow developing, 2 guys pulling, string out horizontal.

From a marketing stand point, the NFL must love the way the Steelers let teams stay close. Keeps the fans tuned in.

That DPI no-call in the first drive kept this game from being totally different. The invisible hand of the NFL is subtle sometimes.Texas Black & Gold wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 1:17 amFrom a marketing stand point, the NFL must love the way the Steelers let teams stay close. Keeps the fans tuned in.

Outside of today I can honestly say that the ST was pretty solid most of the year if not our most consistent unit, today they morphed into kids that take the short bus.steelmann58 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 1:04 amWhat a terrible time have to listen to Nance and Romo all game to POS all game. Our power run game has been awful for the past 3 years especially the last 2. When Bell was here, he literally made the run game look better than it did due to his vision and ability to stop/start on a dime and even then he had a hard time getting short yardage.
Our OL is great at pass blocking but sucks at the run especially short yardage and that's mainly because our IOL gets no pushed. Feiler and especially Pouncey will at one point or another get blown into the backfield at other times its DeCastro. The ball is snapped and they pretty much all stand up and the DL is all in their chest pushing them back. No one just fires off straight ahead and drive their legs just like you're taught in LL, MS, HS and college. Our best run blocking G right now is a rookie in Dotson and he sure as hell should be starting over Feiler. Since he's been on the bench the run game has struggled severely I believe Baltimore would've been a great game for him.

And I’m not sold on Etienne. I think his skill set translates to average in the NFL. And I don’t even think he works that well in the Steelers system.

Although I agree that Mason is horrible, I'm hoping that we have Ben around for at least another run next year. I'd rather take a new RB who can provide a spark in the run game in 2021 and then pick up a decent vet back-up in FA, then get a QB in the 2022 draft.K_C_ wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 1:13 amAfter watching Mason, I think a QB would be my #1.stillthere wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 1:08 amTravis Etienne with the 32nd pick would work nicelyW&M_Steeler wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 12:55 am

I feel dirtier than usual after that one, but I'm starting to come to the feeling that no matter what the situation this team will find a way to get a win. We have an unbelievable amount of playmakers on this football team and they show up when it matters. If that doesn't make a recipe for championship football, what else does?

Picking a RB at the very end of the 1st round is much more reasonable than spending a top 5 pick on a RB like the Jags or Browns.tunch wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 1:11 amDrafting RBs in the first round is how you end up like the Browns or Jaguars.stillthere wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 1:08 amTravis Etienne with the 32nd pick would work nicelyW&M_Steeler wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 12:55 am

And I liked Lanny Frattare.

There was also a defensive holding no-call vs. Claypool at another critical time of the game. I think before the half.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 1:18 amThat DPI no-call in the first drive kept this game from being totally different. There were at least THREE non-DPI calls that are routinely flagged almost every time. You could argue two were uncatchable, but that's a rare determination and is almost always a pick-up of the flag after a discussion and not the case of it never being thrown.
DAL got some home cooking, but of course people are saying the refs gave PIT the game. Those 3 calls - two were 1st downs inside the 10 and another was a first down around the DAL 40 (I think).
It really could have been a blowout. The most generous thing I could say about the officiating was they kept it close but made sure the right team won.

That "JuJu or Dupree" needle is bouncing wildly every week. Might depend on how much JuJu gets, because between last year and this year he's really not tracking that monster $17M+ per year. Whereas Dupree, to be plainly honest, is kind of making a case for DPOY.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 1:18 amThat DPI no-call in the first drive kept this game from being totally different. It would be easy to say we're in a cap crunch and "next man up". But I think both are fairly special players, and we need to figure out how to keep at least one of them.
Dupree and Watt could be a terror for almost a decade....I guess "Bash Brothers" and "Splash Brothers" are already taken....but "Splat Brothers" is still available!

They don’t need to spend a 1st for a RB when they have an all-world QB. Raheem Mostert
Gus Edwards
