He looked pretty spry in that FanDuel commercial.

Actually, it doesn't sound crazy at all. Deebo has drive! Deebo is still probably in excellent physical condition! Used in the right way, he can still beast!

I will always love Debo. I have 3 of his jerseys. His play in Super Bowl 43 was my favorite Steeler play of all time.
BUT
It’s over. The bridges have been burned and ashes pissed on. As much as I would love to see him play again for the Steelers, it will not ever happen.
BUT
I would love for it to happen...but it won’t.

While I wouldn't be surprised if Debo could come in as a limited pass-rush specialists and have some success -- even at his age, I don't think his ego would allow him to swallow his pride and make right his wrongs while leaving. It's a bridge too far, imo.
I ride with Highsmith and Ola. It also gives the FO much needed info about how to proceed with Bud next year/contract. It's not perfect and a little early, but I think Highsmith is ready to handle the spotlight.
Sucks for Bud, even with his faults he's still a good, loyal dude.
I also think Bud's injury will give Watt motivation to play more inspired -- if that's possible. He just seems like that kind of guy.

Agreed. And it would be an insult to Bud, to whom he was an unhelpful prick.Greeksteel wrote: ↑Thu Dec 03, 2020 3:39 pmnot a horrible idea but im still pissed off at him with the way he orchestrated his way out of pittsburgh, so fuck him

Deebo just posted a clip of him meeting with Bradley, the team doctor.

Nope. I don't want to see Harrison drop into coverage ever again.

If they want to bring him onto the practice squad and allow him to help mentor the young players that would be fine. Active roster I don't think is in the cards. Also is Ola switching up numbers or would Harrison pick another number?

Hmmm! If Tomlin didn't want to play Harrison when he could have made an impact years ago, why would he play him now? If there is a quality impact player available now then go for him otherwise Highsmith is the next man up.

I am interest in Matthews...8 sacks isn't shabby. Would bring him in for a workout and see if he can be a 3r down specialist. Have a rotation of Highsmith and Oli on early downs / STs, and then Matthews on 3rd.

They could use one more OLB. Slim pickings on the open market

I ask again...is Avery Williamson capable of playing outside?

He did author possibly the most spectacular play in Super Bowl history doing that though. Just saying....
If Harrison wants his job back, as in, 10-15 plays a game, maybe now that he's been out of the league for 2 1/2 years he'd be more content with that.
I'd expect he could still hold the point of attack, as well as upset and beat a lot of offensive tackles around the end. His size and strength has always been unique.

I actually think he'd be more of a run stopping force than pass rush. He still has strength and in a limited role, he might be better at setting the edge than the other two guys opposite Watt.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

we can be a SB contender why not try to add a pass guy even for limited snaps

Charlie should suit up and give us a viable back up option at QB.
Frequently we have seen our OLB covering backs and slot receivers on wheel routes with mixed results. That would be an unmitigated disaster with old 92 back there. Could he help in the run game? Sure but how many times are we in base enough to cover him up? Not much with the lead.
Love James, but the defense has moved on.

I can't blame him for wanting to leave when Tomlin was playing tackling dummies Moates and Chickillo over him.punum123 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 03, 2020 8:21 pmYep what Greek said!Greeksteel wrote: ↑Thu Dec 03, 2020 3:39 pmnot a horrible idea but im still pissed off at him with the way he orchestrated his way out of pittsburgh, so fuck him
