Jamaal Williams to Detroit. Damn.
Very pissed about that. He would have been a great fit. Can plow ahead and burn it in the open, Can catch the ball like Kamara

We have a front office vacation going on it seems

He signed for two-year, $7.5 million contract. To the capologists....we could have given that....Re-signing Conner would have to fetch that much.

Massive failure with Colbert/Dumblin Clown Corps.

Sports talk here in AZ is they wouldn't give Juju more than $12 mill per and he would have to come "way down" to make that happen. Wonder if he's going to get what he's looking for.
The way the WR is shaping up this year, I don't see him getting more than $13M per on a longer deal and probably less on a one year deal.

Man, I hope he gets $18M per on a long term deal. Gets us another 3rd round Comp pick, I would guess.

The Ravens did not tender restricted free agent LB L.J. Fort, making him a free agent.
Fort started eight games and appeared in 14 for the Ravens last season and actually graded out as Pro Football Focus' No. 9 off-ball linebacker with elite marks as a run defender. Fort would've made $2.133 million on the lowest tender, but Baltimore couldn't make it happen due to the salary cap. Fort is already 31 years old.

For the right price, L.J. could be a nice temporary fit.

If you asked me who was 4 years older than the other, Fort or Jesse James, I wouldn't have guessed Fort.

James was one of the youngest players in the league when he turned pro. Similar to JuJu.

Two guys I hope they check in on:

OLB Jordan Jenkins - we have no depth at the position, can likely get him for 3-5M per season. Before last season he was a quality pass rusher.
RB - Damien Williams - street FA so doesn't count against comp picks, would allow us not to draft a RB high.

Def take a look at Willliams, i agree.

Hudson just got snatched up by the Cardinals, ughh.

Is David Andrews a pipe dream? He will have a lot of suitors, i'm sure...including the Pats.

I love the Steelers approach right now. There is a glut of good players right now. No need to be in the first wave of signings; wait and wait. You will find good values.

we don’t actually have any idea of what their ‘approach’ is yet. If the plan is to hold off and take advantage of the best buyer’s market basically ever, nice. If the plan is to watch one of the best buyer’s markets ever walk by us, and just give a couple contracts to scrubs from our own roster, i’m less enthusiastic.

I’d like to see at least two FAs, from OL/RB/Front 7.

Came out that he was gonna get cut and then AZ apparently said hold up we will trade for him.

Thought it was a whole lotta hot air when the Cardinals owner said there will be a seismic shift this offseason. He seems to be putting the effort into improving the Cards across the board.

I think they're actually waiting to see what JuJu's market is before they spend any Cap money (what little they have) so they can possibly make him/match an offer to stay. Maybe Villy or Conner, too.

Kid shows up when healthy. Having him and Conner would be a fun backfield as a one two punch.

I like Juju more than most, and value his chemistry with Ben, and the fact that he was the guy when they needed a first most or all of the year, but given all the holes... sheesh. OC would at least be nice to shore up with a viable FA option before the draft. It would be a very Steelers move to sign Juju. Maybe they think they can convince him to take a 1-year and wait out the leaguewide cap snafu? The two JAGs the Pats signed instead of Juju seems to indicate something is wrong with his asking price.

Nelson Agholor at 26 million for 2 years seems the only real barometer so far. I do wonder where the numbers are and if Pittsburgh has even made an offer or just said they want to have a chance to match or counter.

13 million for a year of Nelson Agholor... reminds me, I HAVE to get some reaction from my 90% Iggles fan colleagues on that one. He's a considerable lesser player than Juju. We get mad about two or three famous juju on field gaffes... Agholor was producing a couple every game in Philly.

I dont know, Ice. Juju is a possession guy, kinda like Hines was.

Does Juju scare you in an offense tho? He has average speed at best. He's pretty physical but most of the time he's up against smaller #3 type defensive backs. Throw in those monster gaffe's and you have a number 2 or 3 guy.

The NYJ ran out and couldn't wait to give Corey Davis big #1 type money (3 yrs 37.5, 27 guaranteed) even though he was playing 2nd fiddle to AJ Brown and had underachieved in his career until some flashes last year when Brown was out.

I forgot about Davis getting a tad more than Agholor. So I think that is the current barometer.

While I'll never confuse Agholor with Hopkins or Diggs, he did improve a bit in his last Philly years and even more so last year in Vegas. I watched him a decent amount and he's recently gotten better than your saying/thinking, imo. He's an average #2 WR now, with guys like Calvin Ridley or Tyler Lockett being very good/great #2 WR. I think JuJu is an average to better than average #2. I think he'll get around $12M/per somewhere else. IF the PS sign him, I hope it's for $10M/per or less -- not saying I want them to sign him, though.

How about Darren Fells who the Texans just released? 11 TDs the last two seasons?

Didn’t Jeremy aka smithessmokin think he would be a good fit for us?

Huge target is light years better at blocking than Ebron. Interested to see what he signs for.

Look at Smith-Schuster's production for the past 2 seasons without AB opposite him.

From pro-football-reference.com:

Year
▼ Tm G GS Tgt Rec Yds Y/R TD Lng R/G Y/G Ctch% Y/Tgt
2019-2020 PIT 28 26 198 139 1383 9.9 12 76 5.0 49.4 70.2% 7.0

About 5 catches / 50 yards a game, and less than ½ a TD. Those numbers should not exactly command big money in my estimation. But I wouldn't have expected Corey Davis or Nelson Agholor to get contracts in the neighborhood of $13M a year.

As for Colbert / Tomlin, I am happy to learn of them attending pro days. Rather they be reviewing prospects and planning who to draft than weighing player demands, or mixed up in the F/A money developments.

There are some open spaces to fill on the roster right now. The Steelers attacking to fill those with athletes from the draft has my vote of approval.

So did JuJu threaten AB's 5 catches for 50 yards streak then?

Yep, I'd be all over him. Huge catch radius for Ben and he's already the best blocking TE on the roster.

I'm not sure how Deshaun Watson comes back from this -- with 22 possible cases pending?
__________________________________________________________________________________

Lawyer Tony Buzbee alleged that Deshaun Watson's misconduct happened "as recently as this month."
Watson is now facing seven confirmed lawsuits with five more expected to be filed shortly and another 10 women reportedly prepared to allege sexual misconduct during massage sessions. The Texans have yet to comment while the league continues to investigate these matters. As it stands, there are still "several" NFL teams — Panthers, Eagles, Jets, Dolphins, 49ers, and Broncos — that remain "extremely interested" in acquiring Watson. This case will likely extend throughout the spring.
