Pens vs Bruins (4/3/21)
Early game = Early thread
Jarry and Blueger both practiced in full yesterday, but no word on whether they play.
Go Pens!

Credit to Jankowski for a solid FO win that led to the goal.
Credit Charlie Coyle for a beautiful deflection on that goalfractalsteel wrote: ↑Sat Apr 03, 2021 5:15 pmCredit to Jankowski for a solid FO win that led to the goal.

I was not positive or negative going into it. I do worry about Halak though. That guy is amazing. He just keeps on keeping on.

Opening minute of the 2nd period has been a let down so far.
What happened to Marino on the 2nd Boston goal?
Pettersson was stuck defending 2 players in front of the net.
Oh hey.....Guentzel scores as i type this

The ensuing following minutes has been much better to watch.stillthere wrote: ↑Sat Apr 03, 2021 6:02 pmOpening minute of the 2nd period has been a let down so far.
That was an incredible pass from Jake to McCann

Go back and watch it because what he did there made no sense.
He just got done pinning a Bruin to the boards as Boston got control. Then Marino followed a Bruin almost to the blue line like he was playing 'man to man'.
Very odd reaction there and he should have been in the shooting lane in front of Pasta.
Thanks for doing the research for me.fractalsteel wrote: ↑Sat Apr 03, 2021 6:21 pmGo back and watch it because what he did there made no sense.

I thought it was strange that he was fighting for a puck behind the net then just disappeared from the play.
On goal #6 (ugh) - That's just another sloppy play by Matheson. Tries to maneuver through 2 players in the neutral zone and ends up turning it over. Gotta be smarter than that.

That was intentional on Bergeron's part on the high stick to Croby.
Nice display of goaltending today.

If that game was random team A vs random team B I would of enjoyed watching that at a bar or someones house. Since it was the Pens and they lost I can say I did not enjoy the experience.
Arrrrrrrrrghhhhh.
Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are, the pigeon is going to shit on the board and strut around like it won anyway.
Given the injury situation, if you'd have offered me a split with Boston in this series, I'd have taken it.
DeSmith has been playing out of his mind lately. He was due for a let down (even though it was more of a defensive letdown today).
Except for the fact that I hate Boston, this loss doesn't bug me too much.
