LMAO...DJ is retarded.
Sorry, but that’s offensive to a lot of slow Fury posters.
Well, there was the guy who asked us not to use that word because of his daughter.

I was hoping for a shot or two down field.

Same but we should know better.
They had nothing to lose there, I really thought Ben was going to throw for a lot of yards tonight.
I will wait patiently for the second half.

D is making Geno Smith look worse than I remember him being.
"I'm institutionalized, man," he joked. "I gotta have it. I just love the challenges week in and week out that this job provides: the growth in it, the collective growth, the individual growth."

A- on Offense. They just gave the defense a vacation and got 14 points. The D got to skip a quarter and a half.

Ben is playing scared football. You cannot tell me that on that last possession they weren’t trying to hit someone mid range to at least TRY to get into FG range.

I’ll take 14-0 tho.

That last drive was serious buzzkill

Tomlin smartly called TO following Highsmith sack

Good starting field position

Terrible execution

Was hoping for a long Boz attempt

Instead? Short of sticks and run OOBs

13 - 3 first downs
20+ minutes to 9..
39 plays to 21.
177 yards to 65
2 sacks to none.
This feels like it needed to be 17-0, 20-0.

First drive of 3rd quarter for Seattle is huge.
Can't let them get started.

DJ has 7 catches for 34 yards, 4.9 average. That'd be pretty good for a RB.

Like clockwork we are seeing Mike Tomlin at his best. When things get bleak and a losing season starts looking like a real possibility Tomlin gets desperate and pulls it together. Never had a losing season is his legacy. It is probably more important than actually winning another championship.

Deep balls are cool but give me 13 play plodding style drives every time

I wish Ben had some of that Rogers confidence/arrogance.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

They needed to take a chance there.... less than 30 seconds...a pass play on the opposite side of
the 50.... needed to be the play

Ehh…last thing you need is a turnover there. I’d rather see him play it safe in that situation than force something.
The Steelers have the mo…no need to do something that gets the hawks jump started.

Handed great field position...
Wasted opportunity.

If we use this game plan against Baltimore, the score might be 10-9.

Ravens offensive can put up points.

I would not give the O a D grade. 2 touchdowns is like a 50 point outing for us. They are doing ok. Ben is looking much better. But we do need more intermediate passing. I want to see more Muth over the middle.
