Sure would. Another slow plodding RB for Tomlin’s attrition offense.

His tape isn’t slow. Imo he could be a much more reliable Connor.

Not really. Corum was the juice in their offense. Haskins was the mini van on the boring side ofSteelerDayTrader wrote: ↑Thu Apr 07, 2022 5:00 pmHis tape isn’t slow. Imo he could be a much more reliable Connor.

Harbaughs offense. Sure he had some good games, usually when everything else was clicking…he also had quite a few stinkers.
A healthy James Conner is three times the RB that Haskins will ever be. He’d be hard pressed to beat out Benny Snell.
The fact that Tomlin thinks this JAG is worthy of taking out to dinner tells me all I need to know about this years draft…and the ones down the road.
But yeah…he’ll fit in perfectly.

Haskins would be great in Pittsburgh with Harris. I’d be very happy 5th rd or later

Give me D’Vonte Price or Ty Chandler, think they would be better change of pace backs to complement Harris.
What do you disagree with? I said he’s a perfect fit, I mean that. For Tomlin’s get to third down, attrition offense, he’s the guy you want. Nothing dynamic about him, run him between the tackle…that’s what he is. A slower Najee Harris…another Benny Snell.SteelerDayTrader wrote: ↑Thu Apr 07, 2022 5:23 pmTotally disagreeJobu wrote: ↑Thu Apr 07, 2022 5:20 pmNot really. Corum was the juice in their offense. You draft him (5th is way to soon) give him 2-3 Carrie’s and plug him in on special teams…

I like both of those RBs but I just don’t see the Steelers being effective with change of pace RB ideas. Imo they haven’t come close since Arians leftsmithessmokin wrote: ↑Thu Apr 07, 2022 5:24 pmGive me D’Vonte Price or Ty Chandler, think they would be better change of pace backs to complement Harris.

He went in the 6th in the SF draft. If you want him the 5th isn’t unreasonable. Imo he is ALOT MORE than Benny Snell. He has an energy level that you really want a backup RB to have.Jobu wrote: ↑Thu Apr 07, 2022 5:53 pmWhat do you disagree with? I said he’s a perfect fit, I mean that. As far as speed. On tape he looks faster than a Harris Imo. I think he’d be the perfect breather back for Harris’s role in the offense which the Steelers desperately need.
I wouldn’t mind the Steelers drafting 2 RBs in this draft and moving on from the slugs they currently have backing up Harris.

Would it kill people to post a quick blurb or short summary from an article they posted?
Sorry, but it's a pet peeve.

Rather have a speed guy that can catch.

When was the last time the Steelers made that work ?? Ever ??
Arians had some RB catches. Not really speed guys tho.
I’d love to see more situational diversity at the RB position. The Steelers just don’t it. Barring that I’d like to see the Steelers have 3 RBs that can do the Steeler RB thing

"We should draft Haskins because the Steelers offense is boring, uncreative dreck" is just as depressing an argument as "we should re-sign Edmunds because the Steelers defense is a predictable regular season paper tiger that gets shredded in the playoffs."
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...

No one said that
The Perkins/Erhardt offense the Steelers aspire to isn’t unable to win championships if given the right tools.
I realize it’s not in vogue or sought after by many here but the Steelers literally wasted one of the greatest QBs ever to play the game trying to make that approach work
If you think they are gonna get away from it with Harris Friermuth and Mitch The Bitch......lolololz......I really don’t know what to say to you
Haskins would really excel as the big boy backup on a 3 headed monster RB unit
Truthfully
Harris Haskins and someone like Ebner or Pacheco would really be a powerful unit with the potential for being a mismatch unit at RB

I'm a Tyler Badie fan myself.
My only concern with him is how effective would he be in the back field for blitz pick up?
