Re: Little hands can also hold a Lombardi trophy
I'm sure a lot of TV's were broken tonight and honestly mine was close. Fortunately I had the remote nearby and just turned the channel.

I don’t love he pick, but thank fricking god they didn’t take Willis
And trade up to get him.

So we are left being content with levels of bad
I appreciate the fact all QB's were available for Tombert so at least I know they fucked it up.
I didn’t break the TV as I sat stunned …. I couldn’t believe Franco said that name
Let's give the guy a chance.

Did you see him on the phone when he was talking to the Steelers? I didn't like the pick last year either but felt better listening to Harris talk, hearing his story and realizing how good a kid he was. Seeing Pickett's reaction was pretty cool. Looks like somebody it will be easy to root for.Steelafan77 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 2:47 amI'm sure a lot of TV's were broken tonight and honestly mine was close. The worst thing about this pick is besides being telegraphed throughout the entire process the rats took the real player the Steelers wanted knowing the Steelers wanted Hamilton the rats couldn't allow it.

Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”
Meanwhile ravens get Hamilton and lindenbaugh
Good … we got Rudy

I get it remo... not being judgemental. Wait and See....
The infuriated rage comes from the rats taking Hamilton. Rather have him on their team than face him twice a year for the foreseeable future. Actually, don't blame them. Just FUCKING HATE them even more.

Just trying laugh a little. Apologies.
Maybe but that would mean Pickett is at least competent.
I could see it being far worse for a year or two especially considering division and conference they're in. I wouldn't be shocked if PS are picking in top ten next couple of years.
Yeah then they got Linderbaum too. Great draft for those cunts so far. Since Pickett probably doesn't contribute this year, they REALLY need to hit on the next few picks.Steelafan77 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 2:57 amI get it remo... not being judgemental. Wait and See....

Question, wasn’t he the highest rated QB in the draft, granted a weak class but at least they didn’t take Willis, Ridder or Corral, or worse trade up.

Just remember it is all a big frickin gamble. The road is littered with sure thing QB busts and the road is littered with hall of fame surprises at the QB position too.
The important thing is we just shortened the time to our next franchise QB. Like the literal PA lottery saying…you can’t win if you don’t play. The Steelers played!

Funny how every year the Ravens have a great draft according to posters on this board, yet somehow they never amount to shit. Pretty sure we’ve been above them the last few years in the standings when the dust settled.

Best thing besides Not being Willis is they didn’t trade up
Then you can’t waste a first round pick when you have the needs we have … they reached when they had solid others to take that would help now and possibl6 for years
Hamilton is a luxury pick that has serious question marks over his speed, 4.7 40 is ugly.RemoAZ wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 3:04 amYeah then they got Linderbaum too. Great draft for those cunts so far. Lind is a zone center and Ravens run a power scheme. It is an ok pick but they had far bigger needs: pass rushers, dline, WR.
In the 1st round a center and a safety in top 15 with serious concerns? IMHO is not best use of picks.
Over last 12 years we have same amount of division titles as rats and bunglesStillerDownSouth wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 3:06 amRemoAZ wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 3:04 amYeah then they got Linderbaum too. Waste? You could well be right but given the success rate of QBs in the 1st round no matter where they are taken and what year? It is always a huge risk. I think he will be a bust but I will be happy to be proven wrong and for perspective? 70% of 1st round Qbs don't pan out.Gonzo wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 3:15 amThen you can’t waste a first round pick when you have the needs we have … they reached when they had solid others to take that would help now and possibl6 for years

Pickett in college vs the few high level programs he played (Clemson, Notre Dame, Penn State)
1-5 record, 4 TD, 6 INT
Pickett first 4 years as a starter
39 TD, 25 INT / 61% completion %

Bengals just got better. Sigh.

Glad it was not Willis
