Quite an accomplishment.Texas Steel wrote: ↑Sun Aug 21, 2022 12:27 amIf I were Mason, I'd be updating my resume...
Pickett's making Snell look good.

That’s why I think they should start Trubisky. O line typically gels after a month. Let Trubisky take a beating then Pickett come play hero a month or so in.

Pickett should be starting week 1? Any more converts yet?

I think Pickett gets one more drive in the 3rd and then we'll have a ton of Mason for the rest of the game.
Problem is our QBs may be dead by game 8.stillthere wrote: ↑Sun Aug 21, 2022 12:28 amI would be on this thread more but my feed from NFL+ seems pretty far behind.
The passing game looks like it may be something for other teams do deal with. The Steelers literally have at least 6 players with good hands and can get open.

Kenny’s vision is as good as Ben’s if not better for a rookie.
Is it still the JAgs starting DL out there? Only asking because Mitch had about .3 seconds before he had a guy on him
Edit: I do like Picketts poise

Don’t know how they’re gonna fix this shit show of an Oline before week 1
Is it lack of chemistry and a new playbook for some, or, OR, OR is it our guys are getting manhandled and losing their one on one assignments?
Scary bad
Moore, Snell and Bush ....stealing money. So is James Daniels, he has been putrid. Oline is going to kill PS.
Real shame as both Turb biscuit and Pickett played well.
On D...Bush is so damn tentative and slow it is jarring. He has no confidence and whatever explosiveness he had, has gone awol.
Witherspoon looks like a really good CB. D was ok a bit bend don't break but given Jags were trying just about everything they did alright. Better run D but still needs work.

It was a mix of 1s and 2s. Pickett was getting hit quickly. Difference was he was seeing the field and firing bullets and hanging in there. Trubisky was bailing a bit more.

You had 2 starters in Daniels and Moore that were LARPing as turnstiles.Jizz Mop wrote: ↑Sun Aug 21, 2022 12:32 amDon’t know how they’re gonna fix this shit show of an Oline before week 1

4 runs for 2 yards by the backs is not an ideal stat line for the half.
True. I would have liked that doubled. 8 for 4.Steelperch wrote: ↑Sun Aug 21, 2022 12:33 am4 runs for 2 yards by the backs is not an ideal stat line for the half.
It was mostly ones and Pickett with big pass rush in his face made at least 2 excellent throws. PS has the playmakers but if Moore and Daniels keep up their current play? No QB will be able to do a damn thing behind that line.franco32 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 21, 2022 12:33 amIt was a mix of 1s and 2s. Pickett was getting hit quickly. They ran the ball with RBs 4 times, with Snell getting 3 carries for -2 yards.Steelperch wrote: ↑Sun Aug 21, 2022 12:33 am4 runs for 2 yards by the backs is not an ideal stat line for the half.
Devin Bush credited w 3 first half tackles.
Snell is so bad it hurts. On one play he had a genuine crease for at least 5 yards or likely more, instead he made bad misread and fell over for 2 yards. He has no speed at all. I thought he'd be ok given his college tape at Kentucky. I was horribly wrong. Lad has less speed than a corpse at the bottom of the Hudson with concrete shoes on.Steelperch wrote: ↑Sun Aug 21, 2022 12:33 am4 runs for 2 yards by the backs is not an ideal stat line for the half.
