The final analysis on Kenny Pickett 2022-23
Mostly a horrible bottom of the barrel performance on the season even in his best games.
Still he did make key plays in the Steelers last 3 winning efforts against mediocre teams at the end of the game.
Is he clutch or just lucky ???
Either way the Steelers won’t unload him anytime soon so we will have other opportunities to view his performance
I suspect the league will be tougher for him next year
Whether you are a Kenny fluffer or something more reasonable he certainly didn’t do enough to end serious doubt about his future ability to win consistently in the NFL

Arrow pointing up on KP8.
He's great at things that cannot be taught: playing out of structure, out of the pocket. The other stuff that he needs to improve on CAN be taught.
I really enjoyed watching the team after the bye.
For those of you who were unable to enjoy it, I feel sorry for you.
I'm excited to see what becomes of this SUPER young offense.

Would have been better had nobody bothered to respond to this garbage thread.
Just an attention whore trolling for John’s.
KP came along nicely for a rookie. And that is factoring he has been getting coached by the co-authors of Offensive Football for Dummies.
I’m looking forward to next season with him.
He’s mobile, good on the run, can be very accurate, has some moxie, appears to be a hard worker, and after having some initial concerns about his arm, seems he has enough there too.
Will never have a top level cannon but seems like what he has is adequate.

I blocked him, soo much more refreshing not reading that crap.
In relation to the thread - Kenny Pickett is a strength next year, what a steal pick. by the Steelers The draft nicks on this site were dead wrong, take that into consideration next year when they argue their mock drafts..... many of them were 100% wrong on the most important position on the field... many of them shouldn't be given any cred... they are hacks.. just ignore what they suggest, they don't know what they are talking about and their "football" analysis is worth as much as a 4 year old making a draft pick based on what color the player's college team was. Just laugh at them and ignore them... even the ones who proclaim some kind of authority... they are guessing, like anyone else.

SDT, if he hasn't noticed... has become a laughing stock.
Maybe he tries to be... I don't know... but as a troll he's not really that good, I mean too much "seriousness" comes through... which is why I blocked him. He's not entertaining as a troll, and he's not even close to the mark in terms of football.
he's a waste of time, I'd get a kick out of a good troll, and would at least enjoy something good football related.

Point is the team had a nice second half of season. Offense is super young and has some nice talent. Some of you are grumpy fucks that seem to lack capacity to enjoy rooting for the team or seeing anything positive. I feel bad for you. Unless you’re just trolling. Which I kinda hope is true. Otherwise, jeez, dude.

As the only objective Pickett observer on this esteemed site I will give my take:
The good:
Calm under pressure
Good mobility and escapability
Greatly reduced risky throws and turnovers once he settled in and the run game got strong
Can manage a game and mitigate risks
Hard worker, smart and dependable player.
The bad:
Accuracy wanes from time to time, misses high often. Misses too far outside on some sideline routes
Doesn’t have the ability to laser a ball into tight spots like a Mahomes or Allen or make wow throws.
Hasn’t shown he’s capable of carrying an offense or putting up points in bunches required to keep up with top teams
Misses some reads that could lead to big gains, can lock on to one receiver and not see the whole field
Overall, he’s exactly who I thought he was. A solid yet unspectacular QB you can win games with, but not a QB that can carry a team. It’s the 90’s all over again. If you get an elite roster you have a QB that can keep you in most any game. The formula has to be running, ball control and defense. Kenny won’t suck. He won’t be elite. He will be very average. Derek Carr, Joe Flacco, Andy Dalton, a less proficient Kirk Cousins etc…. Kordell and O’Donnell took this franchise to AFC Championship games. Flacco and Foles won SBs with top rosters and getting hot for a couple games. Kenny is the perfect NHALS 9-10 win QB.
Some of you guys will continue to deep throat his every completion. Some will hate him because he isn’t an All Pro. I know who he is and will probably continue to rib you guys on the extremes to keep your blood pressure nice and high. Carry on.

Remember at the halfway point of the season some folks were honestly believing the Steelers were going to take a QB #1 this April.
I laughed my ass off at those posts for sure.
Now Pickett is the unquestioned starter and will likely be for several years to come. He'll have lots of opportunities to prove more to you...and I expect he will if the dude's supporting cast gets better.
