Jags are a fun team. Lots of weapons. Way more entertaining than the Steelers

What do you mean? Steelers are tons of fun to watch on defense when they play mediocre offenses.Orangesteel wrote: ↑Sat Jan 21, 2023 10:51 pmJags are a fun team. Lots of weapons. Way more entertaining than the Steelers

Creed Humphrey was born without a neck. He looks like that Juggernaut character.

The more and more I watch this game, the closer I think the Steelers are to being an actual contender.
Buffalo looked like utter shit. The Chiefs miss Tyreek Hill massively.
The Bengals are the best team in the AFC.

These injuries will add up. Mahomes is not as good immobile.
But we’ll see if he pulls this off.

Did the refs ask Jags oline to not block that huge dude at all.
Hilarious.

KC’s center should be called for false start nearly every shot-gun play. He is doing that faux quick squat, like he needs to look at the defense, soely to draw people offsides. Bullshit it hasn’t been called. Pederson should be in the refs ear about that.

For as good as Mahomes is, games like this make me wonder if he'll age well.

arm talent is the last to go, though.
He certainly has the arm to adapt. Might be a couple of difficult years while he makes the transition.

Dude, it's been 6+ years since we even won a playoff game.
As long as Tomlin is HC, the ceiling is probably the occasional one-and-done.

Lawrence not-quite-there with the elite guys yet, but he might be next year.

That's at least the 2nd time the RG for Jax has allowed a free rusher at Lawrence

I hate Tomlin as much as the next guy, but there's been plenty more wrong with this team than just him in recent playoff contests.
Every year is different and I'm looking to see we add to the building blocks already in place.
Jacksonville missed several opportunities to win this game but they did everything in their power to lose this and they did.
I know that feeling from watching the Steelers the last decade. Way too many self-inflicted wounds.

The more I watch this game the more I realize how inept a Mike Tomlin defensive gameplan in the playoffs is.

And just 3 playoff wins in the last 12 years?
Tomlin is the biggest problem on the team, and has been for years. And he's responsible for most of those holes and shortcomings.
Tomlin and his schemes are grossly outclassed in the playoffs.

5th straight AFC championship for Reid
"Tomlin has never appreciated the role of scheme and play call in the ability for player's to execute" Kodiak.

...and we've taken turns, on both sides of the ball, shooting ourselves in the foot. Over and over again, when it matters most.
Tomlin blows, but he isn't on the field making those mistakes.

No but he builds the team of idiots that are out there making those mistakes, and blowing his wad on draft busts like Arthur Burns and Devin Bush.K_C_ wrote: ↑Sun Jan 22, 2023 12:34 am...and we've taken turns, on both sides of the ball, shooting ourselves in the foot. Hero of this game is Harrison Butker.
But for him nipping Agnew, this game is 27-24 with five and a half minutes left.

No doubt Tomlin shoulders a lot of the blame, but the players shoulder a ton of the blame too.Orangesteel wrote: ↑Sun Jan 22, 2023 12:37 amNo but he builds the team of idiots that are out there making those mistakes, and blowing his wad on draft busts like Arthur Burns and Devin Bush.
I mean....I don't think Cool Shades said to Maurkice Pouncey; "Hey, remember what we've been working on all week in practice, right? When you go out there to start this playoff game, I want you snapping that ball 12 feet over 7's head. You got that?"
I mean....come the fuck on..
