Super Bowl Thread
I bet Kansas City +1.5, plus KC on the money line. I think the two teams are really close but I fear Siriani will be at least slightly more tight in approach/decisions and, when in doubt on a spread, take the better QB.

Totally agree. Really pulling for the Eagles but when you have two really even teams I think you take the QB that has shown he’s got some magic in that arm. Hurts is a great story but nobody does what Mahomes does.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Sun Feb 12, 2023 7:52 pmI bet Kansas City +1.5, plus KC on the money line. Go Birds! Somebody put a Chefs jersey on the Rocky statue, so it's over before it even starts.

I predict both Kelce and JuJu have a big game. I'm going with Mahomes and the chiefs. 35-28

Dynasty game for KC. Will probably be super tight, and going to spend the first 25 minutes or so easing in and probing so the team isn't overwhelmed in the moment.
Furious late comeback that comes up short. PHI 27-24

I don’t expect Siriani to be tight at all. That would really go against the grain for him. I think Andy Reid is more likely to pucker up. That has been his MO. His teams have come up small a lot in Super Bowls and in Championship games. Great coach, but shitty track record in big games. I do think the Eagles D coordinator is overmatched though. Eagles have great pass rushers that win one on ones a lot. But if they aren’t winning the one on ones today I don’t think Jonathan Gannon will out scheme Reid to get pressure on Mahomes.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Sun Feb 12, 2023 7:52 pmI bet Kansas City +1.5, plus KC on the money line. Eagles win and cover
Better roster, better in the trenches on both sides of the ball
I am rooting for Chiefs hard though
Desperately want to be wrong

Agreed. The Eagles are better than the Chiefs everywhere except QB and TE. I don't think a less than 100% Mahomes will be enough unless Hurts / the Eagles crumble under the pressure of the Super Bowl.

The one thing about the Eagles is they really haven’t been tested at all. They had an easy peezy regular schedule. Got a favorable matchup to start the playoffs and then got to coast against a team without a QB in the conference final. Chiefs definitely are more battle tested.

So if JuJu gets a ring, would that be the THIRD former Steeler receiver to get a ring since the last time PIT even played in the big game?
Will probably add DJ to that list in a year or two.

Did you guys prefer Juju’s skirt or Fletcher Cox blouse? Personally I can’t figure out who to root against at this point.

Very interesting rendition of the National Anthem. Much more somber and funeral-like than celebratory, but I enjoyed it.
