I think Tomlin is a poor coach who knows he has the best job security in the NFL.
That said, if I'm Mike Tomlin there is 0% chance I fire Canada this season...the reason is simple. As long as Canada is around he deflects most of the blame from Tomlin. Yes, Tomlin is the head coach and has the ultimate responsibility for deciding who his coordinators are, but it's in his strategic best interest to keep his whipping boy on staff.
So in short, Canada = Tomlin's protective cup. If Canada goes, Tomlin's nuts are open to shots.
