Why Steelers Lost
1. Mitch Trubisky sucks
2. Najee fumble
3. 3rd down fuckup between mitch and meuth late 2q. Those fuckers complete that pass, and chances are very good Steelers lead 16-7 at half rather than down 14-13.
4. Kazee's bullshit ejection
5. Down both safetys
2. Najee fumble

4. Kazee's bullshit ejection
5. Down both safetys
6. One scoring drive longer than 1 yard

Because we suck balls? And the coach is completely lost?

Not true.
The one yard drive was longer than one yard because we lost three with the goddam shotgun run play.

Running Tomlin's Son Najee every first down was probably not the most effective tactic.

People keep leaning into the Steelers injuries but Indy just creamed PIT with a backup QB, without their best WR for most of the game, with their 4th and 5th string RBs, et al. It's not the safeties or LBs injuries that did the Steelers defense in: it's that they're just not that good.swissvale72 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 17, 2023 3:23 am1. Mitch Trubisky sucks

It's really fucking sad, and all comes down to the 2-3 people defending Pickett, and the remaining 2-3 "closeted" Tomlin defenders.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Sun Dec 17, 2023 3:48 amPeople keep leaning into the Steelers injuries but Indy just creamed PIT with a backup QB, without their best WR for most of the game, with their 4th and 5th string RBs, et al. But without them there wouldn't be much debate on this board. I guess.
Same people that thought PIT was going to win 11-12 games a few weeks ago. People thought they were stupid then, so really now they are just looking for excuses for having been so dumb. Reality is 6-3 was a massive fucking mirage for a team that should really have been 3-6.

#3 ended any confidence the offensive players had managed to create for the game, and #4 did the same for the defense. the nfl has made Kazee a dinosaur the same as it has Tomlin the same as Tomlin has this teamswissvale72 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 17, 2023 3:23 am1. Mitch Trubisky sucks

And Tomlin finished the job of killing all confidence when he wouldn't let Boz attempt the 55-yard FG.sinceiwas4 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 17, 2023 3:52 am#3 ended any confidence the offensive players had managed to create for the game, and #4 did the same for the defense. the nfl has made Kazee a dinosaur the same as it has Tomlin the same as Tomlin has this teamswissvale72 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 17, 2023 3:23 am1. Just like he did in the Cleveland playoff game.
We had Field Goal Bill?
Just call him Punt It Mike.

Problem with #3 is IND dropped that same TD in the EZ a minute earlier. You're going to win some plays and lose some, which also describes Mitch vs. Kenny.
They lost because they are a poorly coached team with absolutely no clue on offense. Teams have figured them out that their offense is no real threat to put up points, even if you turn it over. So teams are not afraid of this defense the way the year started out.
Bottom line is you actually have to play offense to win games. Doesn't matter who the QB is, the Steelers have no offense.

They lost this game for the same reason they've lost the other 7 games, they run an offense that is very junior high-esh....they play risk adverse football offensively and the team knows this, and I believe most on the team quit several weeks ago.
Yes. Some of us pointed out that winning games because of being +3 in turnovers was likely to be unsustainable. Can't really blame Mitch for the defense not getting turnovers.StillerDownSouth wrote: ↑Sun Dec 17, 2023 4:00 amThey lost this game for the same reason they've lost the other 7 games, they run an offense that is very junior high-esh....they play risk adverse football offensively and the team knows this, and I believe most on the team quit several weeks ago.

I don’t know if this will lead to a firing…but I will say, a majority of players visibly quitting when the team is still fighting for a playoff spot is a jarring thing to witness, especially to owners.
I don’t know if it will happen but this is the loudest the defectors have ever been. And it’s only going to get worse.

Bradshaw said it several years ago, and it was clearly genuine. And you can't bet many other people were seeing/feeling the same, but afraid to speak out.Orangesteel wrote: ↑Sun Dec 17, 2023 4:25 amI don’t know if it will happen but this is the loudest the defectors have ever been. That armor is gone for Tomlin. If NHALS falls, he'll have nothing left to hide behind.

I paused the playback on the play where Pickens was right in front of the camera NOT BLOCKING for Warren down near the goal line. Of course his man made the stop and if 14 had just stepped in front of him, Warren likely rolls into the end zone. Unbelievable. He should have been benched immediately.Orangesteel wrote: ↑Sun Dec 17, 2023 4:25 amI don’t know if this will lead to a firing…but I will say, a majority of players visibly quitting when the team is still fighting for a playoff spot is a jarring thing to witness, especially to owners.

I thought it was really telling that they didn’t really show any replays of that hit or go to the “expert referee” (Gene Steratore?) for an explanation of the ejection.
1. Tomlin can't game plan for shit, especially in the playoffs or when he says it's a "must win game"
2. Tomlin and staff coach up no one which is why the fundamentals he keeps complaining about suck
3. Tomlin's keep it low scoring and close and win it in the 4th only works with multiple all-pros on defense and a HoF QB
4. Tomlin's lack of discipline and detail lead directly to the penalties, communication issues, missed tackles and lack of effort that are destroying this team

Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

Because the game has passed Tomlin by like a bullet train?…. Better part of 10 years ago….
Because the position coaching staff are as strategically incompetent and lost as Tomlin?
Because the players are tired of losing and have mailed it in…., bu, bu, bu, but everyone wants to play for fraudlin?
Same old Scripted Steelers bullshit game planning that Barely worked with a HOF QB?
No plan B? When the bullshit scripted garbage fails fraudlin has no plan B, deer in headlights?
I’m sure I’m forgetting much, much more? Bottom of the barrel folks.

If this dumb ass HC start Mitch again should be let go. Also I cut Harvin tonight also
This drama is all we really have left to enjoy with the Steelers. I can't wait for the game thread next week with Checkdown King back under center.steelmann58 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 17, 2023 6:40 amIf this dumb ass HC start Mitch again should be let go. Also I cut Harvin tonight also
People have forgotten all about the horrendous pocket presence, the fear of imaginary footsteps, and noodle arm that can't throw accurately over 10 yards. And unlike Kenny and Mitch, he can't scramble for shit. We may not score a TD in the last 3 games.

Jibba Jabber’s offense hasn’t scored more than 7 1st quarter points in 84 consecutive games. An NFL record by far. A historic amount of “easin in”. We are lucky to have him.

They certainly have forgotten. I couldn't wait for Rudolph to get benched in favor or Duck Hodges. What does that tell you?
It is funny people are hating on Mitch but loved Kenny. From a process perspective they were very similar. Hell, Mitch was probably a tad better (pushed the ball downfield a couple of times). He was unfortunate that Pickens lost a jump ball and that his overthrow was picked (Pickett has overthrows every game;just lucky the defense drops em).
None of this is to say Mitch is good. He isn’t. But it is amusing to get a similar game at QB but the Kenny ball washers complaining about the QB.
