Doorslammer Seahawks

Post by SteelerDayTrader » Mon Jan 01, 2024 12:11 am

Mason Rudolph plays another great game the likes of which we haven’t seen since Ben left

George Pickens says fuck you yet again to the haters

Najee Harris has another career game

Nick Herbig shows yet again he is a clutch performer

However the coveted Doorslammer Award goes to HC Mike Tomlin. On a day when TJ Watt disappeared late yet again Tomlin and Co - OCs Faulkner and Sullivan closed out the game with the smartest play this weekend. A first down throw to the Steelers most dangerous player when EVERYONE in the building knew a clock grinding run was coming

Way to slam that door Coach !!

I guess I can live with this. That was a Ballsy play no one saw coming. I did like DW Punking Wagner around on that Najee run. Please throw DW a PA on 2nd down by the goal line. He'd be wide open. Use him.

Watt was held about 8 times in this game with no calls.

Yeah.

That wasn't intentional or anything.

Still tried to cave Geno's knee in and damn near succeeded.

If the cocksucker Ravens play Lamar next weekend, Watt will send that fucker to the hospital.

100% spot on. Watt gets held like no one's business. He gets tackled and no calls. Ridiculous. Jussie Garrett would get all kinda calls.

OL due to run blocking, Harris, Warren - connect dots yourself.
Herbig - because of fumble
Rudolph - another solid performance, throws on time, basically no need for acrobatic catch.
Pickens - he loves playing with Rudolph, you can clearly see that. 131 is not bad too.

History says Watt will make a few meager plays early and disappear late. Like today

Here’s hoping he FINALLY chips in when it matters

Was hilarious showing the play Watt got banged up on and how he was driven to the ground with the hold... no mention of it at all.

Shout out to the Oline. Big boys were getting it done today.

Also want to thank Bush, jersey number zero (00).

My wife had me laughing at him. "Who would pick #00?" "Is he a temporary player without a number?" "Does he get a real number latter if he plays well?" "Maybe they don't want to waste a real number on him."

Said the same thing to my wife. He was basically giving the O lineman a piggy back ride.

We were at Morton’s steakhouse in Boca, in the bar area with the game on. When that play happened my wife said; “you can’t say motherfucker that loud in a place like this. You’ll get us thrown out.”

Watt got hosed all night.

As egregious a non call as I have ever seen.

I’m more convinced than ever Watt should be traded

It’s hard to think of a worse performing player late in games in relation to the massive amount of hype they get

Good thing Mike Tomlin picked up his slack today with the NFLs best playcall of the week going to Pickens on 1st down to slam the door

Vilma has got some eyes on him. He sees everything before spotters do during games! Listen to him on Harris’ extension for 6 points. Nailed it! He was making pronouncements and Eagle was trying not to make mistakes and hedge the descriptions. Vilma was spot on! He is pretty good color announcer!

George Pickens says fuck you yet again to the haters
I dont think he has haters. What he has is a bunch of people criticizing him because he chooses to not do his job a fair amount of the time.

Figures you support people being lazy and not doing their job. So this comes as no shocker.

Pickens is a tremendous talent that can be great.

He just needs to have some heart and put forth the effort.

There is zero reason to defend the criticism directed at him because it’s 100% warranted.

Mark my words - it will not end well with George Pickens in Pittsburgh.

It's no shocker that two weeks of being fed the ball has him talking about how there's a different feel with the t4eam now. The guy is a me-first clown who hasn't learned a thing. There is no, as Mike Tomlin puts it, maturation "process." There's only enabling.
