America's Game 2005

Post by blu » Sat Jul 06, 2024 3:10 pm

Watching the 2005 Pittsburgh Steeler season drive to the super bowl win brought back so many great memories. So many players stepped up to bring home the championship including Kimo twisting Palmer's foot as he tackled him to turn that game around & Ben doing the tackle after Bettis' fumble. I miss Joey Porter although he was never the same after getting shot in the ass in Denver. I will never forget FC's phone call telling (he was planning on visiting Toronto) me when I was discouraged of how the Steelers could win all the playoff away games & FC saying that it was just 4 games. I believed FC & I believed in the Pittsburgh Steelers. It may have been the anti-Cowher having the Steelers passing instead of the usual run, run, pass to get to the championship but I sorely miss Field Goal Bill Cowher having suffered so many years with Tomlin at the helm.
