what to do with B Jones?
Well week 2 was a Mess but he was a Number One Pick. Do they keep him and move him to LT when Dan Moore Contract runs out after the season? Keep him at Swing Tackle for now or maybe move Him to get a wr?
Jibbs is on this. Do not lose any sleep over it.

Barring an injury, I’m not sure we see Jones again this year.steelmann58 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2024 1:04 amWell week 2 was a Mess but he was a Number One Pick. Dude played pretty well at RT last year but he looks like he doesn’t give a shit this year and really didn’t look to be giving 100% yesterday.
If he was trying…it’s time to be concerned.

I'd just like to remind people that the Pittsburgh media spent last year and this off-season talking about how Jones was quickly becoming the leader of the OL room.
That Pittsburgh media...always on top of things.

Jerome Bettis is also currently in the best shape of his life.
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...

I think we should ask John McKay about his execution.

I’d have him work exclusively at LT and take half the practice reps there. Get him in the game a bit as a 6th OL. Coach him up and prepare him to take over at LT. If he starts to look good or Dan Moore regresses, get him back in the lineup.
That should be exactly the plan.Steelperch wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2024 3:06 amI’d have him work exclusively at LT and take half the practice reps there. Get him in the game a bit as a 6th OL. Jones never needs to take a snap at RT again. Practice him exclusively at LT, keep him engaged as the sixth OL, and wait for Dan Moore to ultimately falter later in the season to give him another chance.

I’m sure he would have said “I’m for it!”Dan Smith--BYU wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2024 1:45 amI think we should ask John McKay about his execution.

Can he run routes and catch? We need a WR 2.
Right now he should be the swing tackle who you hope will not see the field.
I get the idea that he should have gotten looks at LT. But, LT doesn't magically improve everything. He still has massive technique issues (including hand usage and lunging). I get he was a rookie last year, but he did not look good at LT when he was out there.
Unless he dedicates time to his craft, he should be on the bench.

Yep, it's more important for Jibbs to prove he was right about Moore, particularly after they screwed up the center position so bad
ben's last year. I agree with everything Madden is saying here, and I normally disagree to some extent!
