Do they come back to the Darnell Washington play to see if the TD is open again?

I was wondering what they would do there. You want to be a running team but go 5-wide on 3rd and 1?!?!?

I was thinking maybe PA, maybe run, or take a deep shot. Terrible call. Dropped 1st down, but still awful.

Ugh... I hate an empty set with only a yard to go.

When the goal is to get it to 3rd and 2, it means you have to be perfect on third down.

Yeah, what’s the point of being run happy if you won’t work play action off it. Why be one dimensional on 3rd and short?

Play action on 1st down is way too crazy

I love run, run, dropped pass on 3rd and short

To be fair, you have to expect Russ is going to be rusty as hell. They certainly aren't going to ask too much of him at least early in the game (or this may just be the offense).

It was a good play. NFL receivers should catch that easily.

To be really fair, if that’s the case, why start a super rusty Wilson in an important AFC game w Giants next?

If they get that punt formation again there is about 7-10 yards off the right side waiting to be had with one block or a pass to Heyward!

Seems ripe!

All the games are "important". If he's ready you have to let him go. Can't shake the rust off not playing.
