Hopefully we play in the "Throw it on Amazon/early Saturday slot/Houston hosts a wild card game because their division sucks" playoff game

Sure hope not, I work on Saturdays.
Last year peacock got the streaming exclusive game on Saturday night and were given two teams with broad appeal. I expect Amazon will get the same slot with the best matchup.rooneytunes wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2025 11:03 pmHopefully we play in the "Throw it on Amazon/early Saturday slot/Houston hosts a wild card game because their division sucks" playoff game

@steelmann58 and Texas you guys need to educate yourself about IPTV and quit worrying about channels and subscriptions. I have used dozens of these services over the last several weeks trying to get a feel for them and get the best one. They are generally around $10 a month. $10 a month for literally just about every channel in the world in HD, UHD, 4K and 3D. This includes movies, TV series, sports. VOD and adult included in most too.
Research best IPTV service providers. As long as you have good internet there is no need to be paying for Netflix, Prime, Paramount, Hulu etc. Just one payment for everything in the world. What is the catch? There is no catch! You get a free trial on most of them.
Here are 3 good ones I can personally vouch for:
https://thetvsub.to/
Have to pay with Bitcoin only.
https://digitalizard.com/
Bitcoin and credit card.
https://bunnystream.com/home/
Credit card or bitcoin
I would recommend do the 3 month options for best price versus risk. Most have multiple connections too.
All you need is AppleTV, Roku, Firestick or a SmartTV and then just search for an IPTV app, there are 100’s of apps. Plug in your username and password and the URl and you are up and running.
DVR, brand new movies, live sports, PPV,Movie channels, and every major league pass…NBa, NFL, MLB and European ones too…it is all there!
Corporations and Hollywood are getting out of control with greed and Inflation….IPTV will put a wrench in the works for their cash cows!

You are probably correct.
I have been very fortunate because my nephew is very knowledgeable in those things and I haven't missed a Steelers game because of him.
Idk how he does it but he is able to get any sport, movie (new or old), shows or music. All I do is ask, and poof there it is.
For years I didn't mind paying for the Sunday ticket until 2016. When they started messing around with partial games, missing the beginning because of overtimes or blackout rules or whatever, that's when I quit paying to watch games.
I will follow the Steelers one way or the other but I refuse to be held hostage or blackmailed.

Can you DM me... The Pittsburgh Steelers Wild Card Game against the Ravens will be on Saturday, Jan. 11 at 8 p.m in Baltimore. It will be streamed on Amazon Prime and broadcast locally on one of the networks.
The Steelers had a slim chance to go to Houston in the first round, but the Los Angeles Chargers secured the fifth seed by defeating the Las Vegas Raiders, 34-13, on Sunday.

Only good thing about it being on Prime is their 4K broadcast is the best, only thing I’ve found comparable is the soccer broadcast on Apple TV.
Otherwise the fact that you have to have a subscription to watch a playoff game is beyond bullshit.

Just to be clear, my understanding is there are zero games being broadcast in 4K. FauxK yes, but not 4K.Orangesteel wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 4:27 amOnly good thing about it being on Prime is their 4K broadcast is the best, only thing I’ve found comparable is the soccer broadcast on Apple TV.

Fox only broadcast in 720P and when they say 4K it is just 720P upscale to 4K.
CBS is still using 1080i.
NBC has some 4K cameras as advertised by Walmart, but the broadcast out of the truck is not 4K.
Amazon apparently upgraded to 1080P HDR in the offseason, but it is still not 4K.
Netflix game on Christmas was not 4K.
To the spirit of your post, it still sounds like Prime has the best broadcast quality potential.

This shit honestly annoys the hell out of me. Not broadcasting a playoff game between two teams with big fanbases on a Saturday night? How much did Amazon pay for that?
I have Prime, so it doesn't affect me that much, but this move towards more games being exclusively on different streaming services has got to stop. As a fan in general I am sick to death of these moves the league is making that leave long time fans who don't have those services in the cold. If I didn't have Prime I would be furious about having to either shell out the money for it or miss seeing my team play.
Fuck this league man. They are ruining the game.

I totally agree - it's bad enough that they have migrated so many games to streaming only but now they are spreading them out among multiple screening channels. ESPN, Prime, Peacock, Netflix... what's next?Steeler_Fanatic wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 9:13 pmThis shit honestly annoys the hell out of me. Like you I have Prime so that doesn't prevent me from seeing those games but I only got it this year so previously I missed all Thursday games.
On the other hand, I do not have Netflix so I missed the Christmas Day games - in hindsight it was a blessing but at the time I was pissed.
Save yourself some angst and turn it on with 1 minute left and click the " quick recap" button

So I can just download their app, pay $10 and watch any fucking thing I want?
Or is there a book of.technical instruction to install this and then to get on it everyday and find something to watch?
I need some kind of simplicity in use here. Also, I'm not paying in bitcoin.
Please advise

I am sure there are scams out there. I have signed up for about 10-12 so far. Couple bitcoin, but mostly credit card and they have all been legit. Do your due diligence though and take precautions. I would not buy a year unless you are really comfortable. I am comfortable with 3 months as that is the sweet spot between risk and best price discount. 90% of them offer free trials so take advantage of that if you are nervous.R_S wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 1:29 amIs this a scam? Also a couple I have registered and not paid and then they send 25-35% off coupons too.
There is a your IPTV provider. They will send you log on credentials that are M3U8 or Xtreme. Usually they make a username and password for you and the give you a url for their server. The M3U8 they send longer URLs with your username and password in the URL.
So once you have your IPTV provider then you have to settle on the software you want to use in your AppleTV, Roku, Firestick, or SmartTV. Just search for IPTV and you will see all sorts of apps.
If you are on AppleTV I’d recommend UHF. I spent a weekend testing them all and that had the most bang for the buck. Use a free app until you are comfortable with IPTV. I paid a lifetime fee of $34 for UHF. It is family shareable too. They update the app about once every fortnight. Only do this when you know IPTV is for you.
Think of IPTV as an email account and then you pick your email software…Outlook email app, google email app, iOS email app etc.
I previously used KODI on Firestick. That was a pain in the ass and would work for about 2 weeks and then you had to upgrade or download some new server etc. this is nothing like that. My mother uses it and my sister too.
Try it free. Get credentials. Use copy and paste from phone to the TV app and start watching.
Then pay $10-ish a month, pick a good software app and that is it. Channels from all over the world. PPV etc etc.

You've obviously done the work. What is M3U8 and Xtreme? Whats is UHF exactly other that the Weird Al movie?
I currently have Samsung and LG as my two main SmartTVs. Is this doable on them without getting firesticks etc?
YES! Kodi is what i tried before. It was ass!
