Justin Fields…

Post by Still Diesel » Mon Jan 06, 2025 3:31 am

Ravens-Steelers Saturday night. We have lost 4 in a row and teams have enough tape in Russ and his moon balls.. I say we start Fields after a full week of reps to see what we got. What say you??

Can’t be any worse than what we’ve seen the last several weeks.

With coaching the abysmal shitshow it is I won’t hold my breath.

Fields, Wilson, or a reincarnated Johnny Unitas. As long as Cool Shades is in charge, they fucking lose.

Better shot at establishing the run with Fields.

If they are still struggling to move the ball on the ground by mid way thru 3rd quarter...

Then you switch it up mid way thru the 4th quarter.

Sounds like a good idea until he fumbles his first or second snap under center.

But seriously, Tomlin would never even consider upsetting God by benching Jesus' best friend Russ.

I think at this point neither may be back next year, but if you were going to bring either back next year, it’s Fields. Russ looked 35 in Week 7 but 11 weeks later looks like he’s 135. So go with Fields.

It’s the playoffs. Mike Tomlin’s defense is giving up 40. Who they start at QB is irrelevant.

It would be the equivalent of Cowher letting Ben rip in the Denver AFCC game. I wouldn’t mind seeing it.

It won’t happen though. If Tomlin were to do that he’d be the coach we’d love. But he is so bull headed, he will double down on a past game plan and try to win 10-9, making him the coach we loathe.

First 4 games with Fields 18.8 points.
Last 4 games with RW 14.3 points

Strength of schedule and the heavy yoke of Tomlin!

Fields is not an NFL starting QB. We all know that. The "run won't be established" against Baltimore without the threat of a pass. Baltimore will have a really easy time defending us if it is Najee up the middle on early downs.

Are Arthur Smith and Tomlin secretly waiting until the playoffs to unleash an aggressive attacking game plan? We all know that isn't going to happen.

Mike Williams keeps making big plays and we bench him because we want to bring in Van to block. That's what we are dealing with.

Hmmmm ……

Steelers will get a TD early and 2-3 FGs

I’m gonna guess Ravens 20-16 at the half

Then the Ravens step on the gas

2 TDs 2 FGs

Ravens give the Steelers a charity TD late and 2 FGs

Ravens 40-29 in a game that was never close as the score looks

Fields is a Generic brand Korky Stewart.

He runs, he gets concussed, then sits. He needs all the brainpower he can muster just to get to his normal production.
"I'm institutionalized, man," he joked. "I gotta have it. I just love the challenges week in and week out that this job provides: the growth in it, the collective growth, the individual growth."

People think Fields will magically 'get it"
He won't

He's a supreme athlete playing QB. He's not a football player and that's why he'll always be a backup in this league.
