Redskins at Lions
Re: Redskins at Lions
Fields will be our starter next year unless he blows us off.
Then we will get a whole season to watch him.
Then we will get a whole season to watch him.

Tonight was a classic game of Goff. Was happy when the Rams traded him. I am all for 2nd chances and was actually rooting for the Lions, but that dude..He is never going to win the big one unless the rest of the team carries him to the promised land. Jayden Daniels? A completely different story.

Like I said...the distance between us and the top tier teams in the league has widened.
And Art II has decided to give them three more years to move even farther ahead.

Might be right. The Steelers are like the crime lab that has been proven to have been contaminated. Every case gets questioned! With the Steelers I question every one of their personnel moves and question everyone they have ever cut since Tomlin’s 10th year..Kodiak wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2025 4:22 amThey were wrong. We could go back to the threads from his first 4 years and I guarantee the boards are littered with comments about his accuracy.
The fact that I know nothing changes until 2028 at the EARLIEST has me ready to throw it in too.W&M_Steeler wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2025 4:25 amOnly if we decide to watch. Not sure I will be, at least not often. These past 14 years of Tomlin ball have worn me down.
You know what bothers me the most about it?
Tomlin's arrogance.
The dude was strutting and preening in his year end press conference.
He should have been fired for that alone...but he knows there is no amount of fucking up that will put his job in jeopardy.
His sycophants in the press called it "his love of the game".
No, you fucking moron media pundits...the dude is as arrogant as hell.
I never have seen a coach who got waxed his last five games act like that before.

All I know is Jayden Daniels would’ve been mediocre on the Steelers. He’d be handing off to Najee and only asked to throw check downs and not turn the ball over. Until we change coaching and philosophy this team will ruin offensive stars and remain mediocre and playoff losers.

I won’t make it a whole season watching him. It’s literally the kind of QB play that makes me never want to watch another game again we’ve already seen the Fields show—why on earth do we need to see more? We need to pay big money to see more? Make it make sense.

I watch that game....and my thinking Tomlins a gameday fuckup is a constant....but I also think....Ben Johnson, cliff kingsbury....Arthur fuckin smith. Ugh
Well for me personally, I believe I'm already dead, and this is hell...you're all just players in my nightmare.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2025 4:55 amI won’t make it a whole season watching him. But if you actually have self-awareness and feelings too, well...my second belief is simply we live in the worst of all possible universes.
Did either of those help?

The funniest part of this is that Kingsbury was available when we chose Arthur....not that Cliff would have come here but we didn't even try. It's dinosaur ball or bust.

Agree with this 100%. Washington is proving the maxim that aggressive offense is how you win games at the top of the NFL hierarchy. They are the opposite of the risk averse chickenshit brand of football Tomlin espouses.Steelperch wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2025 4:49 amAll I know is Jayden Daniels would’ve been mediocre on the Steelers. It's all Tomlins plan. Dinosaur ball = less turnovers which in his balloon head = best chance to win. It also puts alot of pressure on the defense to play almost perfect which is why the Defense is destroyed by the end of the year.
The Fields thing, we'll hear all spring and all training camp how impressive he looks. Deep ball, hitting people over the middle, like a different qb. We'll hear he just needed good coaching, he'll look great in the 3 series in preseason he plays. Then come opening day, we'll get the same bullshit he had this year, mediocre play at best, 9-8, 7th seed, blown out by Cincinnati in the opening round.
This will continue until his fucking contract runs out in 2031, then Dino takes the helm.

Mike Tomlin would be the Andy Dick character in Division III.Steelperch wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2025 4:49 amAll I know is Jayden Daniels would’ve been mediocre on the Steelers. He’d grab Jaylen Warren by the face mask and start the ruination; he’d give him the Helen Yeller speech about outside the numbers. Smacking him with the clipboard!
WE EMPLOY CATCHSOME HERE in the Steelers organization.
C - check it down!
A - Always outside the numbers
T - Throw never until time pressure!

Division III…Funny football movie…overall movie is meh, but there are funny skits that make it must see!
Division 3 explains a lot about the Steelers.
Mike Tomlin:

Obliteration Is Imminent
I think it will become apparent during camp that Coach's idea about rehabilitating Fields will be seen as a huge disaster. Smith, if he's still here, won;'t know what to do with a half a QB bad slash project of the HC.
"I'm institutionalized, man," he joked. "I gotta have it. I just love the challenges week in and week out that this job provides: the growth in it, the collective growth, the individual growth."
