Good job Swiss.
So true about the Chefs whipping up on the Pats.
I think this game vs the Chefs is the harder of the two remaining. Call me worried. Poe, Hali and Houston are nasty.
Not saying we can't win, but this is a true playoff game.

Great read yet again Swiss. Here's to us winning out and not having to worry too much about scenarios.

You're going to hate the solution...but it's Bell running and some early small ball that will slow down the rush.
Either that or max protect and challenge their weak secondary with guys like Brown and Bryant.

Great stuff Swissvale, really well written.
There is def an air of first round bye out there, i did the scenario generator, and it the chips fall right.....We ride
I'll just leave this here to remind us as January approaches.....and I for one am parking my venom for the FO/Coaches as i stated in the podcast

Nice Swiss. For SBI I'd like to see the following:
1) NE
2) Denver
3) Pitt
4) Indy
5) Balt
6) Buffalo
We get here by Pitt, Balt and Buff winning out and Indy losing at Dallas. Note: BB has a history of sitting Brady and others in meaningless week 17 games, which the Bills tilt most likely will be.
I like this scenario because 1) I think the Bills are the best match up for us and 2) the ravens have shown they can give NE all they can handle in NE.

Right on Swiss. Great stuff, as always.
Couldn't hold out this week, read it early.
Moving all my shit into the new house Saturday. Going to bust my ass so I can take a 4hr reprieve on Sunday to watch some Steeler Football.

Bills have a KILLER defense.
I wouldn't want that matchup AT ALL.

Bills would be tough. But what are the better options? I don't consider any game against Balt to be better than 50/50. If it's the Bengals it would be the third time playing them in 5 weeks.
Always an enjoable read..........
tho most of SBI is so obvoius.........not sure this article is needed.
JK....LOL.......
And i do remeber you telling us about Chiefs vs Pats........
Its just that i felt so good watching.......hope that good feeling back when does not come back to make us hurt like the Pats did that night.
Yes....backing off the PFP plant is deserving.
Penalties are down. Can't remeber more than one or two fall starts or jumping offsides the last 5-6 weeks.
Even the little things like on 4th and 1 or 2...when Ben waived back the punt team, started audibling, etc.....when we all knew they were not snapping the ball......
Well....they let the play clock run out and punted 5 yards back.......
In years past we have seen them call a timeout in that spot?
Got Cam Thomas off the field....
Archer as well.....
Small things still need to happen.........Bell not in for every single snap...59 of 59. Has to work Josh Harris in the game.
Too much Moore over Braynt.
KC will be a battle...........
Do not want to jump ahead....but I also think Buffalo would be a tuff match-up....that defense could be a brutal matchup......

Swiss, I know I ripped on a SBI piece early in the year when it was more of an exercise crystal ball prognostication, but this is the point in the year where they really do become interesting reads. Haven't read this edition yet, but I wanted to give you props for taking the time to put these together.
Gotta give you props for the KC/NE prediction- you were bang on about that one.
Of course- you didn't have to be because two of our five losses are to teams we had no business losing to- the Jets and the Bucs.
We take care of business with those teams...we are vying for a bye week, and then your prediction is totally off...we would have been happy the Pats lost.
Even had we just not lost to the Jets (since the Bucs loss, I now realize, had already happened when that Monday Nighter took place), we'd be sitting pretty.

If the Jets upset the Pats this week, and the Steelers and Bills win, please make sure to make your headline: I WAS DEAD WRONG ABOUT ROOTING FOR NE OVER KC!!!
Steelers will be playing for a 1st round bye in week 17.

Promise I will....but guess what, that ain't happenin'.
Oh, B2B....you were dead wrong about rooting for Bungals to beat the Clowns in Cinci, yes??
Couple other things.....
*Not much worried about facing Buffalo. Only way Buffalo wins the finale in Foxboro is if Pats have already clinched #1 seed...which could happen if Denver loses at Cinci next Monday night.
*And....Obviously (the poster)...as far as fortnight goes...thanks......didn't know that. Must admit, I sometimes use words that sound good without knowing their meaning, or knowing that I"m using them incorrectly, but do so anyway.

hey, man, the Bills just shut down the Packers offense-- the Pats offense isn't nearly as good. Don't go writing that one as a win in the Pats' column just yet.
If Cleveland had beaten Cincy in Cincy, they'd still have played Hoyer, might have beaten them with him last week as well... we'd have an even worse problem: a division team we aren't playing in the last two weeks having a chance to tie our record and win the division. You worry too much about the #6 seed and not enough about the playoffs /winning it all overall. Ye of little faith.

Great work Swiss. Also agree on giving props to the HC and staff.
Texans are going with Case Keenum I believe.
Bills have a great D, maybe top in the nfl, but they also have Kyle Orton, bring them to Pittsburgh anytime. Also agree biggtime on preferring to go to Denver rather than Foxboro.
Also, Re: Bills just beat the Pack and having better offense than pats..true but pats are a divivisonal foe and thus much more familiar with the bills. Also if you took into account not only Buffalos defensive abilities but also the Packs recent history in buffalo, you were not shocked at all about the pack losing in buffalo and actually made some money on it, as I did.
Cheers.

Um...if I am not mistaken- the Browns DID beat Cincy in Cincy.
And if the #1 seed is on the line (as it will be- lost in Manziel's implosion on Sunday was the fact that Andy Dalton sucked also and will not beat Denver), a Bill Belichick-coached team is NOT losing at home to the Bills.

They did, and badly. Cleveland's defense completely shut the Bengals down.

So, it would have cost us the division if Cincy won?

Actually it wouldn't have cost us the division but we would have to rely on Cincy to lose out as well as us winning both our games instead of us just winning out, period.

I've used Ye of little faith a time or two, B2B, such as when Jeff Reed nailed a 50-some yarder in Paul Brown Stadium on a Monday nighter in '10. Actually, I do believe we can win it all....just can't do it if we don't punch a ticket for the playoffs. For instance, I've NEVER been one of those that felt better about playoff losses in '07 & '11 because we would have just lost in Foxboro, anyway. I wanted the opportunity to try, always believeing that the Steelers can win that playoff game, regardless of opponent or venue.
And I'm with Greek. I'd love to see Kyle Orton come to Heinz Field....ain't happenin' though, unless Denver loses at Cinci.

Actually, Kyle Orton comes if Steelers, Bills win out, NE wins vs Jets, Indy loses one.

Unless San Diego wins out; then Philip Rivers comes.
If Baltimore loses, San Diego and Buffalo win out....maybe it's Joe Fucco that comes?? Don't know if the #6 seed if San Diego, Bills win out, Ravens lose one, all finsihing 10-6 San Diego would be #5 seed, haivng beaten both Bills &Ravens.

here's a good one:
if miami, buffalo, houston, baltimore, & cleveland all finish at 9-7 (possible)
cincy or pittsburgh are the 5 seed no matter what and HOUSTON is the 6.

Ben would get beat up against the Bills.
He may get sacked 5 times in that game if we played them.
