Harbaugh deserves a nod here, as well. When the game was on the line, he put the ball in the hands of Lamar and his skill position players. The refs took care of the rest. That on a day when his team had run for 200+ yards on the ground.

The amount of respect they showed a guy elevated from the practice squad who had been cut by the 49ers this year was just flat out stupid. Should have just focused on Metcalf like every other team has and make someone else beat you, but they were scared of that guy for some reason.

Ravens aren't as fundamentally broken as the Steelers, but I'd have just about as much hope of them turning it around as I do this team with Tomlin. Lamar isn't ever going to win shit, but he's too talented to let walk. Their OL is in flux. Henry isn't getting any younger. The defense is a mess devoid of the sort of stars they have always had.

And on top of all that, they are stuck having to pretend that they can be a drop back passing team in key spots because Lamar is paid to be that guy.

Highsmith showed up. Was he out the first 12 games?

They are running the same TYPE of offense with better personnel but still a ground and pound. Harrbaugh should be on the hot seat.

Probably, but what other kind of offense could Lamar run?

The refs and CBS making shit up about a third step

The prions that have infested Lamar's brain so that he forgot how to play football

Give it an off-season and into the beginning of next to determine just how hurt Jackson has been playing, but there's a chance the Ravens have entered the stage the Steelers were in for a couple of seasons before Ben's retirement, with the quarterback headed in the wrong direction in his trajectory due to injury and age, but still capable of pulling some magic in a more limited, and less frequent way than before. Not sure Jackson will be able to hang on as long as Ben did, because of the specific type of game he plays, but looking at things objectively, that's where I feel Baltimore could be.

Will be interesting to see what direction their ownership takes if it continues. Do they also veer towards NHALS-y purgatory, or do they have the balls to cut the cord, even if that means really starting from scratch (or looking for as close to Jackson as they can get, but that might be more in the purgatory direction than not).

The real question is if Rodgers had enough time on the overturned interception to constitute a catch, then why was Likely's catch too short of a time?

Isn’t that the truth

That game highlighted all the ambiguity intentionally written into the rules

Between flowers catch while the ball was moving as he went out of bounds, Rodgers complete lack of control. With knees down, catch, and the EZ catch that was overturned

Just about as poor officiating as you can get

If someone ever incontrovertibly proves the nfl is rigged, that game has to be in the evidence category

the call was awful and wrong -- there is no need to compare it to other catches.
he caught the ball and had his feet down and held the ball out securely the entire time to keep it away from the defender
as someone said -- if he had two feet in bounds and then ran OOB its a catch
the refs/the booth on the spot created an absurdity and made an (intentional or unintentional) mockery of the rules -- they made up the three feet down rule on the spot -- why they did this I dont know

DK Metcalf

Not for his Steelers best statistical performance

At $30 mil per he’s expected to do that

What he’s not expected to do at $30 mil per is volunteer to play gunner on special teams in the 4th quarter

Mcafee is right

Thats a team player right there

Yinz think George Pickens doin that?

Yahya Black played the best game of his young Pittsburgh Steelers career. It'll be fantastic to get Derrick Harmon back, but Black has earned himself more reps with performances like yesterday.

Great video breaking down Yahya's contributions vs. both the pass and the run.
