Dolphins at Steelers Game Comments and Super Bowl Plans

Post by bradshaw2ben » Mon Dec 15, 2025 1:40 pm

The meeting of the streaks:

Tua has never won in a game where the temperature was under 40 degrees (0-7).
Tomlin is 1-11 without TJ Watt
Tomlin is 10-0 on MNF at home (Steelers have won 20 in a row).
Aaron Rodgers is 0-3 this year in night games.
NHALS is 18 strong for Tomlin and 21 straight for the Steelers franchise (needs two more wins).

Warren out?

As I said on the podcast-- before TJ was injured--I feel like the only trouble PIT can get themselves into this week is if they look at last week and say: "oh boy we have to be able to get the run game going this week because we can't win games just winging it around in December and January", and decide this is the week to try and run the shit out of the ball.

The reality is: they need to put the game in the hands of their vet QB, tell Tomlin and Art Smith to try and keep up, and attack the defense however it is open to attack. Passing attacks more about downfield that horizontal extensions of the run game. This is the Truth going forward.

If you get into a running-the-ball contest with Miami, you stand a great chance of losing. They have a really good run blocking OL and two backs who can bring it. Also, once they get you invested in trying to stop the run, they have burners who can get behind your linebackers and safeties.

If you go horizontal and quick game against them, you bring Minkah (playing mostly nickel and hybrid safety for them) into play and he can ruin. your day.

If you trot out the Arthur Smith/Mike Tomlin familiar gameplan of runs into stacked boxes combined with quick passes to the outside and the underneath, you're playing kind of into the way they want to play.

Scheffter just said Tomlin would be one of the most sought after coaches if he became available, laughable, but a las he's got the media in his hip pocket...I pray he asks for a trade or quits and the Steelers still own his rights.

Meanwhile, go NHALS, I got big cash riding on it, if there's one thing Tomlin can accomplish its NHALS, don't let me down this year.

The fact they are talking about Tomlin getting fired still after a big divisional win last week tells me the script says the Steelers get blown out tonight setting up week 17 for the divisional title

If McDaniel gets fired I would force Tomlin to hire him as OC.

Hey, it's cold in Pittsburgh.

Jerome Bettis is from Detroit.

I hope they open it up and don't try to impose their will.

Agreed. But he would never come to the Burgh because springboard it is not.

If McD came to the Burgh he would spiral into depression and massive drug use.

How will our run D be without Harmon again? He concerns me with all these knee injuries. He never had them in college but his lower half frame is kind of small for his body.

Maybe Ben's presence will help with that, he had a few memorable Monday night games.

Does he sleep through meetings? I mean he has to be a borderline retarded to be a healthy scratch when he's only one of 2 guys on the team that can get separation.
